Adoption?

My name is Elizabeth and my parents died in a car accident when I was four years old. That's all I basically have to tell you because I don't really like thinking about the idea of them dying. Since I was about four when it happened I don't really remember them.

I remember having little conversations with them, and spending time with them. That's all. But anyways about enough about them. More about me.

As you already know I am a parent less child. I live in an orphanage and it's called Home For Girls. We all have different stories of how we got here. But I guess were just focusing on me and my story.

So here's a couple things to know about me. My favorite sport is swimming but I've never swam on a team before, but I guess I can still like it. I love the color green. And I love to hang out with friends, well the girls in my orphanage. I think that if I have an opportunity to do something I'll do it.

Today is a special day a family is coming to adopt. The thing is, is that I'm a little nervous. I'm one of the older girls here and usually the adoptive family likes the younger girls. But I'm not going to get my hopes up and wish for another girl to get adopted, maybe I'll be the one to get adopted.

I woke up to the sun shining through the curtains of me and Ashley's room. She's my roommate. "Ashley wake up, a family is coming to adopt today." I said opening the curtains. It let in the light of the sun making Ashley pull the covers over her face. "I'm not going, it's more likely the younger ones will get picked, than us older ones." She said. "Come on, you'll never know who the family is. You or I could be picked." I tried to persuade her. It still didn't help. I went over to her and grabbed her wrists and pulled her up, making her sit up on her bed. "Come on ash, we've been waiting for another family to come for months now. It could be your only chance." I said. "Fine." She agreed standing up and getting dressed.

We finished getting dressed and walked downstairs to main living room. "Alright everyone, listen up." Said Linda one of the main the main orphanage coordinators. Our chatter calmed down and the room was silent. "We have another family coming in today. They have already chosen someone, and have asked me to keep it a surprise until today." She added. The butterfly's in my stomach felt like they were getting bigger and bigger and they were flying around so fast. "The parents of the adoptive family will be here any minute." Linda informed us.

Right after she said that the door bell to the orphanage rang. "Alright everyone. We have our adoptive parents here." Said Linda. She lead a young man the young man and his wife into our large living room.

When the man and woman faced us. I almost screamed in excitement. Because I knew who they were. I've watched their YouTube channel for the whole time they've been doing their vlogs!. "Hi I'm Shay and this is my wife Colette." Said shay introducing themselves. "Well would you like to tell the girls who you chose to adopt?" Linda asked. Moving the process on. "Yes, we choose Elizabeth Parker." Said Shay. Everyone gasped and looked over to where I was sitting and I stood up. I was completely surprised and utterly shocked that they chose me. I never thought it would happened. "Hi Elizabeth it's nice to meet you." Colette said. "It's nice to meet you too." I stuttered. I was so nervous.

YAY!! She got adopted!! What will the other kids think of Elizabeth?
