The Mask

CHAPTER 6

After a few days, Anna and Trevor are still in the cave talking about some random stuff during the past days. Anna decided to cure the wounds of Trevor. Anna went out of the cave and went to the forest to find some leaves to heal Trevor's wound. After a few minutes, Anna came back and saw Trevor just laying at the cave, she went to him and asked

"Are you okay? Does it still hurt?" Trevor responded with a nod.

"I will cure your wounds, don't worry". Anna said with a pleasing smile.

Anna started to treat his wounds and every time the leaves touch his wound, he hissed in pain. "Sorry the pain will be gone soon after this", Anna said.

After a few minutes of awkward silence, Trevor suddenly asked her.

"Why are you helping me?"

"Because I cannot abandon anyone who needs my help," Anna said.

After Anna finished treating his wounds Trevor thanked her and they both spent the night in the cave.

Trevor woke up early in the morning because the sunlight made him awake and suddenly, he had a flashback about his dark past.

*FLASHBACK*

After the class, the bullies especially Christopher went with him at the back of the schoolyard where no one will see them. The set of bullies started abusing him by throwing punches, kicking him, while Trevor cries in agony. He was beaten up until he became unconscious and everything went black. Until he was at the bottom of the falls and he saw a cave at a distance. That's all he remembered until he realizes that he is the soul of his body.

After the flashback he became sad and depressed at the same time, he remained quiet and think what was about to happen. A few minutes had past Anna woke up and she asked Trevor. "Are you okay?" 

Trevor responded, "Yeah, I'm fine, thank you for treating my wounds"

"You're welcome," Anna said with a big smile.

They talked about random stuff, knowing more about each other until it came to the part that Trevor asked Anna about himself, Trevor said: "Can you return me to my body?" After he asked that, silence filled the cave until Anna replied,

"No! I will not let you go back to your body"

Trevor's eyes widened at what Anna said.

"Why?! Please let me go back to my body!" Trevor pleaded and cried.

"I want to live in my own body. Please," he begged her but Anna did not allow him to go back and she didn't do anything.

Trevor felt miserable about what happened because he wanted to see his parents and the one who bullied him. He wanted revenge. But he cannot do anything about it because he could not do it and mostly because of the cursed mask.
