The Mask

CHAPTER 1

There was a couple who lived in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; they are Alexander and Christina Tomlinson. They always wanted to have a child; they have prepared a bedroom, clothes, and toys for the child. One day Alexander and Christina were at the kitchen discussing what they are about to eat.

"My love, what do you want for dinner?" She asked,

"Anything, as long as it's delicious." He answered,

"You know I always cook delicious." She replied,

They both looked at each other and laughed. In the middle of cooking, Christina felt something strange.

"Is everything ok?" Alexander asked,

"Yes, I just need to go to the bathroom," Christina replied,

Alexander helped her to go to the bathroom, but when they are just halfway there, Christina suddenly fainted. Alexander was so worried; he carried Christina immediately to the nearest hospital.

"Congratulations Mr. Tomlinson, Mrs. Tomlinson is 1 month pregnant!" the doctor happily announced the news.

"I'm going to be a father!" Alexander joyfully yelled,

Christina then woke up and smiled. Alexander hugged her so tight and kissed her. They both went home and rested. Alexander served Christina like a queen all day. Alexander took care of Christina all the time, he made sure to stick to her like a glue 24/7.

"Alexander! I want mint chocolate chip ice cream!" He was currently working when he heard her wife scream from their bedroom.

"But it's 2 am honey and you don't even like that flavor-"

"But I want it right now!"

He sighed in defeat "Fine, I'll quickly buy it for you, honey."

A few months had passed and the couple became more careful as they are expecting their first child.

It was November 1, 1967, Christina was immediately taken to the hospital because the baby will be coming out that day. Alexander stayed outside and was anxiously pacing back forth in front of the emergency room praying for his wife's safe delivery, then she heard the nurse cried out,

"It's a boy!"

His tears came rolling down his cheeks with a smile on his face, and then he breathes a sigh of relief and went straight inside the room. He carried the baby and said

"He's beautiful, what will be his name?"

"I'm thinking of Trevor." She replied while smiling down to their child,

Alexander nodded and stared at the boy. Years had passed; Trevor grew up to be a healthy and smart boy. Trevor is a peculiar child, he is known for being incredibly intelligent and a fast learner, he can speak different languages at the age of 7. They became a strong and happy family. His parents always support him on whatever he is doing; they helped each other with each problem they encounter. In his school, Trevor is a consistent honor student since he started studying. His parents are very proud of him for being a consistent honor student, he's parents want him to succeed in life even more. They pushed him to study even more to the point that he rarely play outside. One day, Trevor had so many paper works, he got tired and requested,

"Mom, can I play outside with the other kids?"

"Hmm...Ok, but be careful and don't get yourself hurt." She answered,

"Ok, thanks mom!". He thanked his mother and happily went outside to play.

After a few minutes Trevor tripped onto a rock, Christina went to him immediately,

"I told you to be careful, come here I'll cure that," Christina said sternly, "Oh, and you won't go outside to play anymore." Trevor couldn't do anything about his mother's decision.

Trevor apologized to her and went back to his room. After that, he became introverted, always copped inside their house and never experienced playing outside with other kids anymore.
