No Bart

"Hey Rogue!" I drag my feet across the floor ignoring everyone. It's been a few weeks since I seen Bart. "Bart still haven't called yet?" Tim asked "no he never showed up for training. Barry said that Bart does nothing he just lounges around or goes out to run until he tired himself out. He said he doesn't want to see Rogue." Is this their attempt to whisper "I can still hear you" Jason looks me over my tail tuck between my legs "why aren't you dressed?" I shrug "it's a weekend" he frowns "it will still be nice for you to dress up." I don't budge "I know you're upset, but I'm still your older brother." I glare at him "no, I don't have to get dressed because you told me too. You're my brother not my dad." Dick holds him back "speaking of dad did you apologize to Bruce?" I shake my head no "wow she's really testing her limits" Dick tries to lighten the mood. "Jason calm down please? She's upset with us" I feel the tears burning my eyes. As I eat my cereal "Rogue?" Jason grabs me holding me close "he will come back, we're sorry this happened." He will come back, I see a glimpse of yellow "Bart?" They turn around "Bart's not here, unless he came to check on you without us seeing him. See that's a good sign right? He's coming around!" My heart flutters.
I decide to get dressed and go out to the lake "I'm going to the lake!" My brothers look at each other then back at me. "Rogue are you sure you want to do that? That's a spot for you and Bart together, you go over there almost everyday." I shrug "do you want me to take you?" Dick grabs his keys "I will just teleport there." And that's what I do I sit on the soft grass enjoying the view. I hear something behind me and I turn around. My heart drops "oh it's you" Jaime sits next to me "I heard what happened, are you ok?" I shake my head no "he misses you too, but he just can't be around you right now" my ears go back "what is he doing?" Jaime sighs "he's ok, he runs a lot" I nod "I should head back" his suit covers his body and he flies off. I stare at the lake forgetting about everything, I feel myself being lifted and taken away "Bart!" I frown when I realize the suit is red "sorry to disappoint" he slows down setting me down in a seat at the watchtower "hey Rogue" I frown "we had Barry come get you so you can come hang out with us and apologize to your dad." Dad sits in his seat no emotion on his face, I get up getting ready to teleport, but nothing happens. "Oh yea about that, we put the tower on shut down meaning that none of our powers work. So you're stuck in here with us." My ears go back "you ruined Our friendship and you sit there not even caring!" Uncle Clark smiles "this is good, Bruce you have anything to say? That's from the heart? Wherever your heart is." Dad sits up "I told you to stay away from him. I told you from the start not to get attached to him. The both of you are too young to understand this kind of stuff, keeping secrets from each other. The both of you can't handle it." That's all he has to say about it?! "Bruce that's not an apology." I feel my eyes burning and turning red tears streaming down my face. Everything cuts back on and uncle Clark stands in front of me protecting my dad. "Calm down Rogue you know how your father is when it comes to apologizing. He's terrible at it." I stop, smoke coming off his chest "Rogue I'm sorry about you and Bart, bu..." uncle Barry cuts him off "Bruce no but" dad grunts "I should of allowed you to at least tell Bart since the both of you are close." I sit back down "I'm sorry I said I hate you, I don't really hate you." Everyone relaxes "I tried getting Bart to see you but, he's not budging." I huff if that's how Bart wants to be then let him be that way "I don't care, if he wants to be stubborn I will be stubborn too. I won't cry!" They watch me closely "are you sure? You look like you're about to cry" Aunt Diana says "I'm not going to cry...I won't cry!" I feel the tears threatening to fall "I can't cry over someone who doesn't want me anymore." They continue to watch "Rogue don't hurt yourself" I whimper "I-I- I'm not." My voice cracks "oh boy, J'onn please before she explodes" uncle J'onn eyes glow red "it's ok to cry Rogue" I try fighting it but slowly I start crying "there she goes our crying girl!" Uncle Barry holds me close "Barry never say that again, it's creepy." Uncle Arthur says "Bart will come around he's just being a stubborn ass alright?" I nod my head sniffling. "I will try to talk to him again and if it doesn't work I will find a way to get you guys back together. I won't stop until you two are back together I promise you, just stay strong." Barry quickly pulls away "woah Rogue!" I look at my tail, the color from tail is fading away "Barry stand back, if any of us touch her we lose our color too. You turn grey and your powers will become unstable or weaken" Barry suit turns grey "uh... I think it's too late for me" he tries to lighten up the mood. He starts vibrating on and off then slows down "what kind of power is this?" He sits down "its an unstable power that Lex couldn't fix. Luckily there's a way to reverse it and Bart is the key." I feel a pinch in my neck and everything goes black.
