I split up with the Gryffindors and walked through the walls not long after that, heading to Silena's room. I was a little nervous.

I look a lot like a girl. Like, a lot. It's pretty annoying when you're the son of an all powerful god like Poseidon. But, Draco and I figure that I get most of my features from my mom, because water takes most forms. For example, my hair is curly like hers. My face is shaped the same as hers. Draco says that my lips, nose, and cheeks are hers. He says that the only difference really is my hair color and eyes. And my skin. I feel like water really takes the properties of whatever it's mixed with, so I've always been bugged by the fact that Percy's a carbon copy of Poseidon.

We figure that Poseidon is white, because my mom was black. I'm not quite either according to the others. So mixed. Another water thing, maybe?

I walked into Silena's room, watching her grin and smile at me. She had some potions on her desk, along with scissors and a bunch of other things I didn't really get the idea of.

"Sit," she pointed at a chair. I just did as she said.

Silena then held the potion out to me, and I drank it. Immediately, I could feel my hair growing. It was weird.

A moment later, it stopped.

"You're gonna look so cute!" Silena squealed, and I blushed.

We chatted as she cut my hair shorter, but still so it would be longer than what I used to have. She also got rid of my bangs and styled it slightly.

"Oh," Silena said, standing in front of me.

"What? What is it?" I immediately asked, worried about her response.

"You're very pretty, Percy," Silena said, handing me a mirror. She was looking at me with a little surprise.

I blushed again, and looked in the mirror. "I look like a girl."

Silena smiled softly, "Yeah, but that isn't a bad thing. You look awesome, and it's what's in the mind that counts. You have patrol with Draco tonight, right? Surprise him. He'll love it."

If Draco would love it, then I like it.

I left her room, walking to the Great Hall in silence. I could see the sun setting.

Draco was waiting for me, twirling his dagger around. He looked up when I walked in, and blushed lightly when he saw my hair. That just made me blush.

"I like your hair," Draco said, walking over to me and playing with a curl for a moment.

"Thanks. Silena did it," I said. Draco smiled softly, then slipped his hand into mine. He pulled me onto the floor and watched the sky change color.

Eventually the reds and yellows disappeared, making way for the night sky.

We stared for a moment before Draco sighed and stood up, "We should probably go now."

"Yeah," I said, taking his hand once he stuck it out. As we walked, he didn't let go.

The castle was quiet at night. The only sound penetrating the silence was the echoes of our steps. Most of the paintings were sleeping, and the faint light of Riptide illuminated their resting faces.

We were walking up one of the staircases, when Hogwarts suddenly uttered a warning. I didn't catch myself in time.

I felt my leg slip through the disappearing step, and the silence shattered. My yelp and the sudden clattering of my sword filled the air. I was sitting in an awkward position on my leg and hip, struggling to not fall through the step entirely.

Draco grabbed me almost immediately, helping me up. He pulled me away from the evil step and asked, "Are you okay?"

I nodded even though he couldn't see me in the sudden darkness. He seemed to understand.

We were careful as we walked back down the staircase towards Riptide. Without the light, we couldn't see anything.

After grabbing Riptide and avoiding the disappearing step, we continued our patrol.

This time around, the silence was deafening. It wasn't calm as it had been before, but instead it filled my ears and my head.

I was thankful when daylight came.

We split up to go take showers and get ready for the day. I yawned as I pulled on my clothes and got ready for the day.

Even though I was exhausted, I didn't regret having to go on patrol. It had been a great a night. I hoped the next night would be just as nice.

I'm leaving tonight at, like, 3 AM for a twelve hour drive to Florida. I'm kinda excited and kind of dreading it, especially cause a lot of my family has been dramatic recently. But, on the plus side, me and Emblem are going to share this huge room and eat snacks and whatever. It's gonna be cool. Also, my family keeps forgetting my birthday. We've been going on vacation during my birthday (which isn't as fun as it sounds) for a while now. Now, we're going a month early. My mom asked me if my grandpa gave me my birthday money yet. I told her no, cause it wasn't my birthday. She said that I might want to get it before we leave. Then I had to tell her that this month is, in fact, June, and I'm a July baby. I had to do the same thing for my grandpa, who asked if I had gotten my birthday money yet, too. I'm a little worried they'll buy me a cake and start singing.

Anyway, I hope you guys had a good time. For those of you who read my other book, the Supernatural crossover one, it won't be returning this Wednesday as I will be on vacation, but the next chapter will be up next Wednesday. I hope you had a snazzy Saturday, and I'll see you on Monday.
