After meeting with my family that night, there was a feast. Most everyone was wearing pajamas, it lasted the entire night, and nearly everyone was cheering.
I sat between Justin and Haley.
I looked between the both of them, and then grinned. I said, "If either of you do anything stupid like getting Petrified again, I will skewer you."
Both nodded hastily, but they wore bright grins on their faces.
Gryffindor won the House Cup that year. Exams were cancelled. Lockhart wasn't working there anymore. It was probably the greatest end to a year that anyone could ever wish for.
It was amazing.
The last few weeks of school went by quickly. We played games, ran through the halls, and were grateful to have our friends and family back.
All too soon, the year ended. We were on our way back home.
I sat in a carriage with some of my demigod friends. We talked about how we thought the summer was going to be, the strange weather, and about what next school year was going to be like. We mostly wondered who our next DADA teacher would end up being.
Throughout the entire ride, Draco held my hand tightly. Even as he nearly got into a joke fight with his brother.
I walked off of the train and saw Luke and Hope standing there. I immediately ran off and hugged Luke.
We were quickly packed into the enchanted car, laughing and singing and being happy on the way home. The home me and Luke would now be sharing with them.
We watched Mulan at the couch that night, a new tradition, Luke and I decided. We very dramatically sang the songs, and the others stared at me with surprise. Luke didn't seem to care anymore.
When the movie was over, I changed into fresh pajamas after taking a shower. For a moment, I stared at my scars in the mirror. I had the ones from my life before wizardry. Then there was my first year at Hogwarts. Now, the second year had brought scars too. You could still see the stitching on the wound I got from my sword in the Chamber of Secrets.
As I pulled on my shirt, I wondered about what had happened in the Chamber. Why one of the Kindly Ones, a servant of Hades (a god who I had seemed to be on half decent terms with), would come and attack me. Accuse me of doing something I had no clue what even was. Then there was that strange room. The strange, black armor that glistened. The mysterious books that wafted off extremely strong magic. The Slytherin banner hanging above the large banner, fitting in with the theme and vibes that the room so very clearly gave off. I wondered what could have been behind the other doors. Matter of fact, I wondered what had been behind the door I had walked into. I'd been so distracted by the Kindly One that I hadn't even thought to look around.
I figured I'd have to look around. I now had permission to explore everywhere after all. I'd be able to visit that room easily. Unless it was only accessible through the entrance to the Chamber. I had to hope it wasn't. I cant speak Parseltongue.
I sat on my bed, wishing I had the answers. There were too many questions floating throughout my head, knocking roughly against the sides. I figured I needed a break.
There was a soft knock on my door, and I watched Luke peek his head in, "Hey, Perce."
"Hi," I smiled, and Luke sat on the bed beside me.
"Something on your mind?" He asked, looking down at me with a soft smile.
I shook my head, "Nothing too important."
Luke rolled his eyes, "I doubt that. You know, I said no big adventures."
"Yeah, yeah. I know. I had several big adventures. Very big and very plentiful. I think trouble is gay, cause it's most definitely attracted to me."
Luke grinned, and ruffled my hair, "Oh, definitely. Percy... what do you think about making trouble follow you to the cabin on Montauk Beach?"
"Really?!?" I shouted, climbing to my knees and looking Luke directly in the eyes. He grinned, "No, I'm teasing. Just wanted to play with your heartstrings. Now, you're not allowed to see your friends, go to Hogwarts, or do anything remotely fun for the rest of your life. Most importantly, you are banned from seeing Draco. Though that's not so much a punishment as a fear of mine that you'll do dirty stuff in this bed. Or his bed. Maybe a park bench. I wouldn't be surprised."
Luke looked disgusted, and I blushed furiously.
"Luke!"
"What, it's terrible!"
"Luke! Stop!"
"All right, all right," Luke grinned, ruffling my hair again. "What do you say about leaving tomorrow? Staying for a few days. Camp isn't too far from there, either."
I nodded eagerly, wrapping my arms around Luke. He quickly engulfed me in his arms, and I listened to him chuckle.
I thought it would be a great summer.
I was wrong.
He was wrong. Welcome to the last chapter of this book. A lot has happened. It's crazy. It's weird. I feel like I've been doing this since forever, but I only posted the first part of the first book in February. It hasn't even been a year yet. Maybe not even half a year. It's wild. I'm also excited. I've started getting better at writing, and slowly but surely, I've gotten Percy to be more sassy. I'm pretty sure this shows in the third book, but I'm not sure. I hope it does.
I'll see you in the Epilogue.
