Teru's side of the story.

The young prince made his way to his sleeping chamber. His golden hair was damp from shower, he didn't want to be troubled by drying it.

He huffed while falling on the soft bed, Teru had always found his bed more comfortable than everything else. Now he was staring at the high ceiling.
Teru remembered all things that happened. It all felt like a dream, maybe it was a dream he's unaware of? The prince would be lying if he said he's not interested in her..

Yes, he's particularly fond of y/n.

The dream he's supposed to be unaware of was meeting with her. Who would've thought he meet such an amazing person on the first day of freedom?
He remembered. He remembered how she would laugh and laugh. How her face beams up whenever she told something, as if she has no problems at all.

A small sigh came from his parted lips. Teru never imagined to be interested in another person other than Kou (brotherly love of course,) but he did.

Y/n wasn't as controlling as his father.

The prince silently turned off the candle that has been lighting his way. As his eyelids fell heavy, he snoozed into sleep. A very vivid memory decided to seep through him.

"What is this?! Are you even teaching my son at all?" A voice boomed from the throne. The man had angrily crumpled a paper in his hands. "Or, are you trying to use my kindness?" He asked.

Teru, who seemed about 12 stood still in front of him. His eyes felt hot. In front of him was his new teacher.

The figure kneeled in front of his father, begging for mercy. He was screaming and crying. Tears ran down as he pleaded for the king not to take his life away.

The prince knew this scene well. Whenever person kneels in front of father while crying or pleading, he's going to be executed for condemning a 'sin'. Though he didn't want it, the prince was tired of going through another execution. He had always been tired.

This man was no different, his life was short. He was stated to execution due to his poor teachings towards the young prince.

To think that a father would let such a scene in front of a child is truly concerning.

"Pathetic. You have failed yet you ask for my mercy?" Another sentence thrown.

Teru was only 10. He didn't understand anything that happens, yet his heart aches. He didn't want to see another soul gone.

"Father." He croaked out, his throat felt like in a knot but he still continued. "He didn't do wrong, I'm the one who failed and didnt understand the material taught by him."
The golden haired boy tried. He used all of the polite words he could find. In a glance he saw the man's thankful eyes.

The king, "Hideous! Truly hideous. Not only you failed to teach my son, you taught him to talk back?! Your execution is tomorrow and there will be no further excuses."

The prince's heart sunk.

Oh well, at least he tried.

His surroundings changed, this time he was 13. Another memory was shown.

They were resting on a field of grass, the cool summer breeze brushed against their skin. Next to Teru was Kou laying on the ground.

"Kou, how long do you think it would take until you snooze?" The older sibling asked while slowly turning his focus towards his little brother.

Kou shrugged, "I don't know, I'll snooze when you're happy!"

Teru chuckled as he laid on the ground next to Kou. He tidied up all of Kou's messy hair with his right hand, "Well, I'm happy being with you!"

He wasn't happy at all, he wasn't happy with them being caged up like birds, or like animals in a zoo. Teru wanted him to be free, just at least let Kou be free to the outside and I'm willing to pay my life locked here. He thought to himself.

The smaller boy laughed as he pretended to fall asleep.

What they didn't know is that, that day was the last time they would ever meet eachother. Kou was brought into another part of the palace for God knows how long while Teru had to go to even more excessive studies.

The faint dim light creeped in his room. Teru was woken awake by his maids.

A new day was coming, a new day to meet y/n.
