This is a story of a simple girl named Victoria Jones, your average smart girl at school. Nobody ever really noticed her because there wasn't ever much to notice, or so they thought.

Living in a pretty nice area of the suburbs, everyone had the cliché teenage life you always see in the movies. The Friday night football games that flood the town with the black and red colors of the team. The cheerleader team who won state championships two years in a row. And the school ranked as the best one in Indiana.

For most teenagers attending Lincoln high life was good. It was simple and easy, because bad things can't happen in a place as good as this, right?

But Victoria knew that none of that was true, sure the town was good but there's always darkness to accompany the light wherever it travels. And for Victoria that darkness that balanced the light seemed to be a big part of her life.

There were two types of broken people in this world. The ones who were quiet and nobody ever knew the weight that they had to carry on their shoulders day in and day out. Then there were the ones who were 'bad', they lashed out on the world, they were angry and got into trouble, because on the inside they were hurting.

Victoria was the first type only her closest friends and family members knew the amount of trauma she had been through in the last years of high school. She had expected the world to continue to be cruel to a broken girl like her.

But what she had not expected in her senior year was to end up meeting a boy just as broken as her. Especially not Elijah King, the bad boy of Lincoln high.

But fate has a funny way of putting lives together. And for Victoria and Elijah they knew it wouldn't be all sunshine and rainbows.

    They are the broken ones.
