I parted ways with Amber an Steven heading to the opposite side of the building to reach calc. I hated having it in the morning but I guess it's good to get it out of the way earlier rather than later.

I actually liked my classes I have this year, I had calc first, AP Physics, gym, English 4, then music history, after that I get to go to lunch with my friends for a period. For my last two classes I have childhood development, then my favorite class; Psychology.

I got to class two minutes before the bell rang and sat down in my assigned seat in the middle, next to another girl named Sandra. I smiled and gave her a slight wave before taking out my materials.

Once I finished I stared at the clock watching it hit 8:30 signaling the start of class. I knew today would be tough because everyone distracted with excitement for the weekend, and probably the party tonight.

And for once I was too, I don't know why but I just had a good feeling about today.

By the time it reached lunch I was bored out of my mind from taking notes in every single class except English where we started a new book, which I hoped it would be good.

I grabbed a tray and headed to the lunch line to get some food. I really hoped they had burgers and fries today, because that sounded so good right about now, after only having half a muffin for breakfast. Today I was in luck they were serving cheeseburgers, fries, and chicken nuggets. I just grabbed the fries and burger.

As I headed up to the register I noticed it was Miss Diana on register today. I liked her she was always really sweet to me, she even gave me free food sometimes. To some extent I think she's heard form my school counselor what my messy life consists of.

I smile once I get up to pay, "Good afternoon Miss Diana. How's your day?" I say while setting my tray down and pulling out my card.

Her face lighted up and she smiles in return, "Hi sweetie! Seeing you just makes my day much better! How have you been? Enjoying this year so far?"

I laugh a little at her sweetness before saying, "I'm really good, this year has been really fun so far." I hand her my card and she swipes it handing it back to me.

"Good, good, dear. I hope all is well, run along and join your friends before you miss out on too much." She says while slightly shooing me, I laugh at her antics, "Okay I will, have a good day Miss Diana!" I say while grabbing my tray again.

"You too sweetie!" She says as I walk away. I quickly scan the cafeteria easily finding Amber, Alec, Camryn and a few others a our lunch table. We sit at our own table near the back, just to have a bit of privacy. Steven doesn't normally sit with us because he has his own table with some other friends.

"Hey guys, what's up?" I say as I take my seat at the end in between Amber and the glass window lining the wall. Camryn and Alec both give me a 'sup' and a head nod, before finishing up their conversation.

Camryn has very light blonde hair, she normally always wears it in a ponytail or bun, and has bright blue eyes. Meanwhile Alec has short dark brown hair, and dark brown eyes. Those two of the group are always bickering about something and often ask me and Amber for our input.

Both amber and I swear that one day they're going to end up together. They argue a lot, but they really are a good match, not to mention a good challenge for one another.

"Okay so V tell me what you think of this for the party tonight, too much? Also we're getting ready at yours right?" Amber asks as handing me her phone with a photo of a black lace long sleeved skin tight dress. I give it a once over and nod my head in approval.

"Yeah sure I bet Aunt Lori won't care. I like it, it looks like you. Shoes though? I'm guessing your all black vans? And any jacket?" I say as I begin to munch on my fries.

She chuckles a little before saying, "Yeah my all black Vans, you know me too well. And I was thinking no jacket, nothing would really go with it, you know?"

"True, it's perfect Amber." I say while smiling back at her, as I look up I see Alec and Camryn looking very lost in our conversation. "Party Tonight, after the game. You guys going?" I say while handing Amber the rest of my fries, knowing she wants some.

"Yeah sure sounds good I'll bring some of the guys, I'll meet you guys up there?" Alec says. I nod my head and give him a thumbs up. Sometimes we hangout as a big group with his extended friends, which is always entertaining.

I turn my attention to Camryn for her answer. She's really carefree and laid back and probably was planning on going with the guys if we didn't go.

"Yeah sure I'll go, you guys mind if I get ready with y'all at your house Vic?" She says will stealing some of the fries. "Sounds like a plan to me." I say as I nod once more.

The rest of lunch went by pretty quickly and we all headed to our next classes, luckily me and Amber had Childhood Development together. So, we continued talking as we walked back upstairs.

As we walked into the class we were about to sit down in our regular seat when we saw people in mismatched seats. We looked at each other and groaned heading up to see where our new seats were. Amber quickly found ours luckily we were near the back and still kind of close to each other.

She was in the third row from the back one seat to the right of mine so we could still easily turn to each other and talk. My seat was the second row from the back, and I wondered who I'd be next to for a year. I looked and was shocked to see that this particular guy would even take a class like Child Development.

I had to sit next to Elijah freaking King for a whole year. Oh joy, who doesn't want a moody bad boy who barely shows up as a seat mate. I thought as I made my way to the back.

You know maybe it won't be that bad, he probably won't show up for most of class anyways, I said triumphantly grinning to myself. I wasn't scared of him or intimidated like the others I was just cautious and didn't want to be involved in any drama.

But I was quickly proved wrong, as for the first time this week the door flew open to reveal Elijah himself. I rolled my eyes at his dramatic entrance and rested my head down on the desk.

Moments later I heard someone plop into the seat next to me, it didn't take a genius to figure out who it was. So I lifted my head up only to make eye contact with an annoyed Elijah King.

Who happened to be glaring right at me.
