I locked gazes with Elijah, still only to find him glaring at me for some reason. I rolled my eyes at his childish demeanor and he scoffed at me, grumbling something under his breath. It's not like I want to sit next to him either, but at least I'm not a dick about it.

I crossed my arms and leaned back into my chair as the teacher began the lesson for today. We were learning more about what steps to take in a certain situation where children could be injured.

So I took out my notebook and started to write down some notes, knowing we'd probably have a test on this next week. I was shocked to see out of the corner of my eye Elijah also taking notes. He just didn't seem like the type to care.

Thankfully the class went by smoothly without any drama from Elijah. He just seemed to always be glaring at something or mainly me, and hadn't spoken a word to anyone since he entered the room. I got the feeling he really didn't like me, it bothered me. I had never really had a interaction with him so why does it feel like he hates me?

Before class ended Mr. T told us in two weeks we'd be able to go down to the kindergarten class here at school and interact with the children. And in three weeks we'd begin the famous 'taking care of a fake baby' project.

I only hoped that he would let us pick our partners so then I could be with Amber. She would make the project so much fun.

The bell rang and everybody began packing up, Elijah basically ran out of the classroom. It was probably the last place he wanted to be.

Once I had all my stuff packed up I waited for Amber and we started walking near her class, I shared Psych with Steven and it was just down the hall from Ambers History class. She flunked American History last year so she had to retake it this year if she wanted to graduate.

"So how was it sitting next to Mr. Bad Boy?" Amber asked while popping a new piece of gum into her mouth. I sighed, "I get the feeling that he really doesn't like me." I said as I took a piece of gum from her pack.

"Well yeah V he doesn't really seem to like anyone except for you know, his best friend Matt." She said while furrowing her eyebrows. I shook my head, "No I know that, but I don't know it seemed like he hated me, I mean what did I do to him? I never even spoke to him and all he does is glare at me a bunch." I mumbled the last bit.

"Huh that's weird V. I don't know, you're probably too smart for him to even comprehend," I scoffed at that but held a small smile. "But hey don't let him get to you. He doesn't matter, remember tonight's gonna be a blast!" She said while throwing her arms up in the air for dramatic effect.

I laughed at her, "Yeah your right, thanks Amber. I'm gonna go before I'm late to Psych. See you in a bit!" I said with a wave as I began to head down the hall, she nodded her head and waved back, not before giving me a goofy smile.

I smiled as I walked into my class, she's right today's gonna be a really good day.

One hour later Amber and Steven were bickering about who could sit shotgun on the ride home. We agreed to make a pit stop at Ambers so she could grab some of her stuff to get ready for the party.

"But your just gonna hop out of the car when we get to your house, you won't even be in the seat!" Steven was saying to Amber who was stubborn as could be, "Nope, my best friend is driving therefore I get to sit shotgun not you!"

"But that's not fair she's my cousin! Fine I'll just get there before you do." Steven stated triumphantly. Amber smirked at him and then took off running towards the car. "H-hey wait! Now you're stealing my idea too!" He said as he began running after her.

I rolled my eyes with a small smile on my face, "Steven if you don't let our guest, sit shotgun I'll make both of you sit in the back!" I yelled while walking up to the both of them who were ready to jump in the car as soon as I unlocked it. He grumbled to what sounded like a 'fine' before getting in the backseat. Amber stuck her tongue out at him in victory.

I laughed as I unlocked the car and hopped in, Amber grabbed the aux and started playing some music while we headed to her house.

The party started at eight and we just planned on binge watching some movies before getting ready to go. I mean there wasn't really much else to do.

Before we went to Amber I made a pit stop at McDonalds so we all could have something to eat while watching movies. Steven and I got Big Macs and fries while Amber got a bunch of chicken nuggets and fries too.

She insisted chicken nuggets were better cause you could munch on them throughout the whole movie, instead of devouring them quickly like you would a burger. But I knew she'd scarf either of them down quickly at the start of the movie.

While we stopped at Ambers for her to drop off her school stuff and get her dress and makeup, me and Steven were brainstorming what movies to watch.

He really wanted to watch Hunger Games, or the Maze Runner. But I knew me and Amber would both pick a horror movie like Saw or The Shining because they were classics.

And sure enough when Amber returned she chose Saw, so Steven was outvoted. It was only four by the time we got back to our house so we had four hours of movies and party prepping to keep us occupied.

It was safe to say we were all stoked about this party.
