ONE MONTH LATER
They hadn't spoken since that night. Garou didn't attempt to contact her, like she requested. Kaana didn't contact him as she was afraid to face him.
>>>>>>>>>>>>
Garou was training at the dojo, classes being cancel due to heavy rain. Bang watched Garou from the back doors of the compound while Garou trained in the rain.
To say that Bang was worried about Garou was an understatement. The morning of, Garou hadn't shown up to the classes. Garou was quick to claim that he was sick and Bang let it go, but when he came back, that was another story.
Garou barely said a word to the old man since then. Which, honestly, shouldn't be have been a shock, but it was unsettling. Since Garou had come back to the dojo, there was always some sort of communication, but this time? Nothing. It was like Garou had completely shut down and closed himself off. The only time he didn't show this troubling behavior was when he was teaching, but even that seemed to mentally exhaust the man.
Bang was in the dark with this one. He didn't know what happened, and he was sure that Garou won't tell him if he asked.
Still, this was getting worse. Bang decided to not tiptoe around this issue with him. He was going to knock some sense into him, if possible.
Bang, watching Garou half commit to his forms and strikes, sighed and stepped out into the rain.
Garou, who was soaked to the core, just let the pounding of the pouring rain fill his ears. The sound allowed him to drown out most of his thoughts, but it didn't wash away the dread he felt. He was off in his own world, unable to think of anything else, aside from what happened. It wasn't even about not being able to remember sleeping with Kaana, he'd accepted that he'll probably never remember. It was the guilt and anger of the aftermath.
Thinking back on that night, the only thing he can really remember before blacking out was kissing and holding Kaana close. It felt like a dream to just, hold her and kiss her that way. That one part Garou didn't regret, but it was that selfishness that made them both pay the price. If only he could remember.
"Garou," he heard a voice break through the pouring rain. Garou turned and saw Bang standing there, hands behind his back, "Your mind is elsewhere. Your forms are lacking sharpness. What's troubling you?"
Garou grunted, moving to turn away, "I'm fine."
A glint went across Bang's eyes, "Oh? Then, spar with me."
Garou stopped and looked back him, raising a brow as he was taken off guard, "You serious?"
"If your mind is at ease, like you claim, then surely, you should have no trouble beating me," Bang challenged Garou, "Well?"
Garou gave a scoff, not really wanting to fight him, but decided to humor him, "Fine."
Bang slowly got into a stance, Garou getting into a similar stance, as well. There was a moment of silence, the rain hitting the ground and trees being the only movement.
Garou struck first, not wasting time to use Fist of Flowing Water, Crushing Rock. Bang deflected his strikes, easily, which made the old Master very disappointed.
"Huh?" Garou felt Bang move in and struck him hard in the stomach, "Ugh!" Garou nearly doubled over, but when he did, a foot met his face.
Garou flew back hard, slamming into the cobble stone, the puddles of water splashing under and around him.
"You disappoint me, Garou. I've made you a Master of my dojo and this is all you have to offer? Perhaps, you weren't ready for the responsibility?" Bang waited for Garou to get up. Garou seemed to struggle to get his feet under him, "Get up."
Garou snarled, but his body didn't want to keep going. He was mentally and, unknowingly, physically exhausted. Huffing for air, Garou managed to get his feet under him, his hair sticking to his forehead from the rain as he glared at the old man, "You think I'm going to let you scold me, like a child?"
"Your mind is clouded. You need someone to knock some sense into you," Bang told him, "You need to have balance in order to overcome your obstacles."
"Shut up!" Garou yelled out frustratedly and went to attack Bang, who easily dodged the anger filled retaliation, "I'm fucking tired of all this wisdom crap!! I'm tired of hearing it, it doesn't work!! Everything never works for me!! So, just shut up!!!"
"Still so much to learn..." Bang muttered and moved in with an elbow strike to his sternum. Garou was thrown back across the courtyard. Making impact, the man groaned and coughed as the wind was knocked out of him.
Bang approached his former student's prone figure, a hint of sadness in his eyes, "What happened to you? You used to be full of hope for the future. You were making a good life for yourself. Now, it's as though you're falling apart at the seams. You're not focusing on what's in front of you. Why are you lacking the will for anything?"
Garou put a hand under him to try and get himself off the ground, but his body just wanted to stay there.
"Because, what's the point? I ruined the only good thing that's ever happened to me. My selfishness cost me the only person in my world to leave," Garou scowled at the ground, "Why do I destroy everything I touch? Maybe, I am the monster everyone made me out to be."
Bang didn't expect this from Garou. Garou sounded so broken. And this person, he spoke of, "Did something happen between you and Kaana?"
Garou let out a shaky breath before finally hoisting himself off the ground, dirty and drenched in water, "I fucked up, that's what happened. Now, she wants nothing to do with me."
"That explains a few things: that's why she hadn't come around, isn't it? Have you tried to speak to her?" Bang asked.
"There's no use, the damage is done," Garou turned to walk away, "I wish I never came back here."
"Garou," Bang watched the man go, walking with a level of defeat. This was worse than Bang had anticipated. He can only imagine what happened between them, but he couldn't let Garou destroy everything he'd worked for. Regardless, Garou and Kaana were the most stubborn pair he'd come across. He needed to give one of them a push. If not, this bond will be broken beyond repair.

Meanwhile, Kaana, in her new Gi, was at the dojo, cleaning. On rainy days, such as these, Kaana used the opportunity to deep clean the whole dojo.
Lately, Kaana would try to do anything to keep her mind preoccupied. Doing so allowed her to keep her guilt ridden thoughts at bay. However, her mind would drift to that night and she'd have many mixed feelings. She felt guilty for putting him in such a position, having felt she took advantage of him and leaving only a note to justify her actions. He didn't deserve such treatment, not from someone he trusted. Then, there was the act of doing it, itself. That part, well...there was small part of her that didn't regret sleeping with him. To be held in his arms, to be taken so roughly. To be marked in such a carnal way. Regardless, it was selfish of her to think that way. She instigated it and they both suffered.
Kaana thought back on the morning of. Walking home without any panties on was the most exposing thing she'd ever felt. Her legs were sore, her inner thighs stung, and the semen leaking down her thighs didn't make it any better, either. Getting home, she sat by the door for hours, mulling over her guilt and sobbing. When she finally collected herself, she gathered enough strength in her legs to drag herself to the bathroom.
Stripping herself, Kaana took in the aftermath on her body. If anyone were to have seen her, one would've thought she was taken against her will. Or mauled by a wild beast. She had bruises around her breasts, on her hips, inner thighs.
The marks were a whole other story: A bite mark on her left inner thigh, claw marks on the outer left thigh. Then, there was the most noticeable mark. Accompanying the blanket of black and blues on the right side of the crook of her neck was a gnarly bite mark, caked in dried blood. The skin was tender and raw, but Kaana knew she had to get it cleaned to avoid infection.
