___________________________________________________________________________________”Thank you so much,” Shiro beamed as Team Natsu came back to the mansion victorious. Shiro stood and waited in front of the mansion’s entrance. He tried hugging Erza, but she didn’t even have to use any strength to push him away. “Thank you so much!”
Natsu walked up besides Erza, his hands resting on the back of his head casually. “Well, enough of the thanking, old man,” he said with a bored tone in his voice. “Can we have our reward, please~?”
Erza nearly dropped her jaw, smacking Natsu in the back of the head. “Natsu be patient! It’s rude to just ask like that.”
Letting out a chuckle, Shiro waved with his hands. “No, no, young Titania,” he said gently. “I was going to get the money anyways. 700.000 Jewels, was it? That’ll give you all about 100.000, including the ehm… cats?” From Wendy’s arms, Charle nodded, but Happy just widened his eyes. He was sitting on Lucy’s.
“Did you hear that, Charle,” Happy exclaimed, taking both of Charle’s paws in his. “100.000 Jewels.”
Pulling her paws back, Charle crossed her arms, looking away. “Don’t touch me, male cat.” Waterfall tears streamed down of Happy’s cheeks.
Afterwards he turned around, walking in the front door and leaving the teenagers. Erza immediately began arguing with Natsu about his manners. And with arguing, it was just her yelling at him, and him lifting his hands up in defense, trying to calm her down and apologizing.
Lucy, on the other hand, remained silence, unlike the others who either took a part of the discussion or tried to calm them down. Lucy had placed her one hand on the opposite arm, looking down at the floor. The necklace she had received hung around her neck. Where else should she put it?
Fake pockets… she thought annoyed. She wasn’t really urging for the others to know that she saw that little boy, so she was happy that Natsu hadn’t told the others about her little breakdown. They would just say that she was crazy, which she probably was going to be soon. But there would be a good possibility that they couldn’t see the necklace either.
“Lucy-san,” Wendy murmured, standing close to Lucy. Apparently she had managed to walk up close to Lucy without Lucy noticing. “Are you okay?” Lucy uttered a small “Kya!” as she realized the little Dragon slayer was standing so close to her.
“Wh- oh, yeah,” Lucy assured her, putting on a less convincing smile. “I’m fine, don’t worry.”
Wendy shrugged and was about to turn away, but her eyes caught the shine from the crescent-pendant around her neck. “Lucy-san, where did you get that?” she asked, curiosity playing in her eyes.
Lucy’s eyes widened. “Y-you can see it?” she stuttered, touching the necklace lightly.
Natsu, who had stopped fighting with Erza, turned around to see what they were talking about. “Of course we can see it, weirdo.” he said like it was obvious. Lucy looked down at her neck.
Maybe I’m not going crazy anyways… Lucy thought happily, clenching her fist around the necklace.
“Come to think of it,” Natsu muttered, rubbing his cheek in curiosity. “You did clench that necklace in the woods when-“ Lucy sending him the killer-look cut him off.
