_________________________________________________________________________________It was getting dark as Lucy went home. She had borrowed the book for a few days and it was safely protected in her arms. The little iron sign on the back, with “Heartfilia” written on it, shone in the moonlight.
Lucy was currently walking on the edge of river, spying her house in the distance.
“Lucy-san, be careful!” the familiar men in the boat told her, making her smile a little.
“I will!” Lucy assured them, waving back at them.
Lucy sincerely hoped that no one from the guild would see her. Or see the book. And she hoped that none of Team Natsu would see her, because she had already been weird today.
Most of all, she hoped Natsu hadn’t told them about the things that she had told him. If she was going crazy she didn’t need them to know that.
“But you really aren’t going crazy, Lucy-nee-san.” Luke said in her head, making her flinch.
“Get out of my head, Luke,” Lucy muttered, crossing her arms uncomfortably. “I don’t know how we’re related, and I’m not even sure we are, but I dislike your presence right now.”
She could sense him shrugging, in some weird way. “Suit yourself,” he sighed, disappearing from her head. “See you later. Lucy-nee-san.”
Lucy grumbled in annoyance and walked over to her front door, unlocking it and walking in. Something was off. The light in the hallway up to her apartment was turned on. She could’ve sworn that she turned off the light as she left.
With hesitating steps, Lucy went up the stairs to her apartment, only to be met by an open door with familiar voices coming out of it. She knew exactly who it was.
“What are doing in my apartment?” Lucy asked annoyed, walking into her apartment, seeing her team sitting on her bed. Natsu, Happy, Gray and Erza.
“Well, you ran away,” Erza explained like it was obvious. “We’re having a team meeting. Sit down.” Erza gestured to the couch they had moved in front of her bed. Sighing, Lucy obeyed and sat down, crossing her legs. She had put the book down beside of her, covering the spine.
“How did you even get in?” Lucy asked, avoiding the future questions she would be asked. “The windows are closed, and the chimney is blocked.”
Gray shrugged, his clothes already off. “I’m and Ice Make mage,” he muttered, his face neutral, though his eyebrows were slightly contracted. “I just made a copy of your key.”
“And you instantly knew what my key looked like, of course…” Lucy mumbled, sweat-dropping.
In some time, the group just stared at Lucy, and Lucy stared back. There weren’t actually so much to tell, except that she was possible going crazy.
Natsu had begun losing his patient, which his fast foot stepping gave away.
“I already told them what you told me,” he said, his face the same as Gray’s. “Tell us what’s going on. What’s really going on. Where did you go today?”
