i wake up and stretched my body, feeling a little bit of dried tears on my cheeks. i sit up and look around the room, noticing Miles wasn't in here. the covers were thrown over from where he had slept, so i'm pretty sure he's already at work
i was staring out the window, loving how the sun placed kisses all over the flowers below, making them bloom to a healthy color after the cold, long, winter. i was snapped out of my trance when i heard my phone go off.
"Good morning, Dalia.
I hope you got better sleep after last nights rush, which i still hope you're okay.
I didn't want to leave you this morning after that, but I was already an hour late for work and you seem the type to kill me if I woke you up.
Anyways, let me know about lunch later. Text me when you wake up"I smile slightly and text him back, letting him know I was awake and would love yo grab lunch.
I wanted to tell him about the things that happened, I really did. But what was I so afraid of? My best friend knew and she took it as well as you possibly could. What's the worse that could happen?

"Oh my god. I think this sandwich just got me pregnant." I said muffled, my mouth full of a delicious sandwich Miles had picked up for us for lunch.
I heard him chuckled slightly before taking a bite of his, you guessed it, salad.
Luckily he's gotten better about teasing me about my calorie intake. Now he just lets me eat what I want. However, he always gives me that look that says "You're really gonna eat that?"
"Why are we eating in your office? I figured we'd meet somewhere," He covered his mouth and finished chewing before answering, "I had a lot of work to do, a lot of contract renewal dates are coming up. But I wanted to-" "Miles! Why didn't you say something before? I would've let you work instead of telling you how good my sandwich is."
I saw a smile tug the corner of his lips before he looked down and picked up a pen, "Because, Miss Glass, what I was going to say is I wanted to see you. You had me pretty worried last night..."
I sighed and placed my sandwich back in the box before whipping off my fingers. I scooted my chair, which was across from his desk, up closer and propped my elbow on it before leaning into it.
"Do you wanna know?" he took in a deep breath, "Dalia... Are- Are you sure? I mean you were pretty shaken up." I nodded and leaned back, adverting my eyes to the ceiling.
I took another deep breath, knowing this will be lengthy, "I have a step-brother, Harry. He... He would do things to me." I made eye contact to see if he caught the hint as to what I was saying, and by the way his jaw clenched and he put his pen down before leaning back and crossing his arms, I knew he understood.
"It started when I was 13, and he was 18. My brain blocked most of the trauma out, but sometimes if i'm... touched in a certain spot it's like i'm still there.
"When I was 18 i ran away from home and moved in with Amelia. That's why we're so close, she helped me start my own life after all that."
He sat in silence for a moment before leaning forward and grabbing my hands. "Thank you for being comfortable enough to tell me that, Dalia. I'm so fucking sorry that happened to you."
I smiled slightly and shrugged my shoulders, my mind not processing that a man was being this kind to me.
He brought his hand up to my cheek and cupped it before looking down at my lips and whispering, "Can i kiss you?"
I nodded, still at a lost for words and he slowly leaned in. His lips lightly touched mine in a soft kiss, as if he was scared I would break right then and there.
when he pulled away, we both had a huge smile on our faces. He leaned back in his chair, all the while staring at me, and paused for a second.
His face went hard in a matter of seconds before looking away, "Can you show me where?" Though the question seemed vague, I knew what he was talking about.
"Like, right now?" He closed the book on his desk, leaned back, and nodded.
"Oh... okay." I stood up on shaky legs and came around to his side of the desk. He swiveled his chair around and stared at me intently.
"Um, so..." I grabbed his hand and moved his fingers as if he was holding a cup. I brought his hand up and has it hover over my throat. "here,"
I lifted up my leg the best i could without toppling over and moved his hand over to my ankles- also still hovering.
Then lastly I turned around and had his hand over the middle part of my upper back. "And there,"
When I turned back around and dropped his hand, i saw him nod.
"I know with some trauma it's with only a certain group of people... how is it with you?"
I smiled to myself as i leaned my hip against his desk, grateful that this man was pausing his work just to understand my boundaries.
well, that's a first girl
"No, it's everyone except myself. I can touch myself in those places and not be worried, but if anyone else did I just kind of go into a panic mode and psych myself out."
he nodded and I could tell he was taking mental notes. "I will be sure to keep those boundaries. thank you again for being comfortable enough to tell me."
"No, Miles. Thank you for actually listening and asking about them. I really appreciate that."
I leaned down and placed one final kiss on his lips before baking away and walking around his desk, grabbing my purse. "Well, Mr.Calo. I will let you get back to work now." "Of course, Miss Glass. Text me when you make it to work"
I giggled at the formality we were using and gathered my things before throwing my lunch away.
