kenzies pov

i lean back in my chair and smile as johnny walked towards me. before he could speak, he turned around and coughed into his elbow. it was a nasty, broken up cough. i could definitely tell there was stuff in his chest. "are you ok?" he nodded and turned back towards me, smiling through lazy eyes. "yeah, i just had an itch." i knew it wasn't that. this past week he's been coughing nonstop and his nose and cheeks are red.

"you still want to go out?" he nodded and motioned to his self. "you really think i'm sick? it's just a cough, babe." i sigh and turn everything off before standing up.

"johnny, we should really leave. you don't look so good." i motioned for the waitress to give us our check as johnny laid back in the booth, eyes shut and breathing heavy. i got the check and reached in my person quickly while his eyes are shut. "i'm fine. i want to stay here with you." "we're leaving." i smile up at the waitress as she takes my card. "i hope everything is alright with him, miss. i know the flu has been spreading faster then mad hornets." her country accent made me giggle and nod. "yeah, me too."

once we got outside, johnny lending against me, i dug my hand into his pocket, finding his keys. johnny let out a grown and grabbed my wrist. i giggle and shake my head. "you're so sensitive, orlando." i lead him over into the passengers seat and buckle him in. i felt like a whole mom.

i walk over to the drivers side and get in. i sigh and smile as i look over at the expensive car. i crank it and my smile widen at the sound. i was in love with this car. it was beautiful. a black car, with white leather seats. my dream car colors. i back out and made my way back to johnnys house. "i hope you're not sick." i looked over at him to see his eyes shut, and leaning against the window.

once in johnnys house, i got him to change and lay straight into bed. "you, mister, need to stay here while i go and get the thermometer. can you do that, sir?" he was obviously drained from something in him. "not if you keep calling me mister and sir. that turns me on." i giggle and walk out anyways. i walked over to the cabinets in the kitchen smile as i find the medicine right away. i take out the white thermometer and walk back upstairs to see johnny watching tv.

"good. you followed instructions. now open up." i straddle him and stuck the thermometer under his tongue. i brushed his hair out of his face and smile at him. "you're cheeks are all rosey and warm." i touch cheek lightly as he rolled his eyes. the thermometer beeped and i looked down at it with a sigh.

"100.5" he raised an eyebrow at me. "what does that mean.?" i get off him and clean the thermometer off in the bathroom. "it means you have a fever. so no work for you mister." he laughed and shook his head. "i'm fine." i walked back in and stood at the end of the bed. "no. i'll cover for you. it's fine." "kenz. you're already stressing over school. this will be a lot on you." i crawled into bed and cuddled him.

could i get sick? yes. did i care? no.

"i'll be fine. if i need help then i'll let you know."
