"Why-why are you here?"
She twitched closer, batting her eyelashes, lips freshly glossed, "You've been gone quite some time. We all got worried."
I backed up a little, pulling at the collar of my coat. This isn't good, this isn't good at all, "Oh, uh, s-sorry. S-so wh-whe-where are the o-o-others?" Dammit, I stuttered. Bad, very bad. Girl's can sense fear.
I should know.
"Looking for you," she leaned in slightly, cocking her head a little to the left.
I swallowed, stepping back again, "Oh, um, w-well I should head back in. Didn't mean to get e-everybody w-worked up," I attempted to move around her, only to be stopped by her foot, "Charlie's probably about ready to freak out," I squeaked, my voice hitching slightly. Dammit, keep it cool.
"Oh, no need to rush," she hastily replied, smiling, "You obviously came out here for a reason."
"Who me?" Great, just keep playing dumb, because it worked so many times before, "Ah, no, just wanted to get some air. A little stuffy in there," I pulled at my collar again. And out here.
Her smile faltered just a tad, eyes losing their previous shine, "Really?"
I nodded, gulping again, "Uh, yeah. Really. I seriously should start heading back in though, Charlie's most likely worried and I wouldn't want to keep her w-."
"You don't like her."
I sputtered, cheeks reddening feverishly, "W-what?"
She folded her arms across her chest, flicking back her curled hair, "You don't like Charlie," she stated again.
I straighten, "And what makes you say that?"
She smiled, again, leaning just a tad closer, "I saw the way you two sat by one another," she only grinned wider when I blanch, "for a couple, you guys aren't exactly 'cozy'."
I glared, "We don't like to display our affection."
She scoffed, "Yeah, sure, whatever you say."
What the hell happened to the innocent, shy Jen that I meant like an hour ago? Because this bitch definitely wasn't her.
"What's that suppose to mean?" Two can play at that game. I can be a bitch too, if I really tried.
"It means," she poked my shoulder, "you either don't like her, or you are hiding some big secret. I think the first is most likely."
I pushed her hand away, scowling, "You don't know anything."
"I know you don't like Charlie. At least, not in that way," she stepped out of my way, and I nearly sprinted to the door, only to be stopped by her voice again, "but, I'll let you in on a little secret," I chanced a glance over my shoulder, mildly interested in her next words. She seemed to notice and smirked, striding towards me in her suppose 'seductiveness' way, "I like you."
With that, she skipped in, her act back on, leaving me groaning in the doorway.
Just what I need...

"Baby Face," Roy punched my roughly in the arm, "where have you been? Our food is getting cold."
I smiled shyly, rubbing my now sore arm, trying to avoid eye contact with Jen, "Sorry, I went out to get some fresh air," I looked at Charlie quickly, then back to Roy, "didn't realize how long I was out until, uh-."
"I found him!" Jen piped up happily, sliding in next to Roy and beaming, "Told him how worried everyone was and he came back."
Roy quirked a brow and I nodded, "Y-yeah, what she said," I slid in beside Charlie, who gave me a look.
