Chapter 9

Illiana's P.O.V

My last period was free, I walked out of my substitute 2 minutes before the end. I walked to Stephen at and leaned on the hood.

2 minutes later the bell rang and popped out of the crowd with his friends. When he saw me a huge smile appeared on his face. Wow I would have swear it seemed like we were best friends that haven't seen each other in a while.

"Hiii!" He greeted he seemed relieved.

"Hi" I greeted coldly arms crossed.

"Listen I didn't expect you to forgive me after the stunt I pulled and I don't expect you to forgive me at all." He said

"Okay." I said with attitude.

"I was beyond out of line and wild disrespectful, what I did in my own eyes is unforgivable. I can't force you to forgive me and I wouldn't dream of it but I hope you'll understand why I did what I did.

My sister is my world and. . . I-I called her burden and what I meant is she comes with a burden . . .the. . .the world became a burden, it's so hard knowing that the world will kick her out and use her as a doormat. So when you came in and you were nice to her for no reason. . .it-it w-worried me. So I'm sorry" he said.

"'Listen I know you have to protect your sister, but what you said was horrible. You don't have to hurt others to protect her. I can't say you were wrong about them not wanting to spend time with me, but you were dead wrong for using it as a weapon against me" I said.

I was about to walk away but then he grabbed although he didn't pull hard, I flung onto him.

Movie moment. He smelt really good. I caught my balance and got off.

"What?" I asked fixing my clothing.

"Listen just give me a chance to make it up to you" he begged.

"How? I personally don't think you could do anything to get me to forgive you. You really hurt my feelings and I wouldn't admit it but you need to understand were I'm coming from. Listen we don't need to beef but we don't need to be friends either" I stated.

"I would like us to be friends" he said.

"I don't think we should bother ourselves" I explained.

"How about this we give it a chance... just. . . . . .I don't know" he said scratching the back of his head.

I shrugged and managed to walk away, this time I managed to get away.

"Come to the game on Friday !" He screamed

People started cheering when the heard that. I jumped in my car and drove home.

I got home and there suitcases in front of the door. I wasn't suprised matter fact I'm surprised they stayed so long to leave.

"Hi, your mother and I have to get to New York apparently the material that was delivered is wrong. It arrived late and we have to fix it soon cause she has a lot of orders. We'll be back as soon as everything is fine" papa informed.

"Okay." I shrugged.

They kissed me goodbye and rushed off. I then realized my brother lazily sitting on the couch.

"Why didn't you leave with them?" I asked.

"Cause you need me more then they do." He replied.

"Well you shouldn't worry about me" I said.

"Ofcourse I should. They were really worried about me staying but it's okay cause first I'm on holiday so I can spend my vacation with you" he pointed out.

"Yay!" I cheered jumping on my brother.

"Since it's a school night we can't have a movie night but we can have one on friday. . .oh yeah what happened at the hearing today?" He asked.

"I have community service . Once the garden is up to standard I'll be set free" I said.

"Are you allowed to get help? If you are then I'll join you." He spoke.

"I'm not sure, because this is a punishment" I said.

"Lie to them and say mom said I should help to keep me busy and far from drugs. They wouldn't call her because it's a sensitive topic." He said.

"Okay" I said

"Damn. The last time I garden was with you and G-ma" he said.

I laughed I haven't heard since my grandmother passed.

"Okay, should it be a brother sister night?" I asked.

"Yeah but you can invite Shay and Luca" he said.

"Luca and I broke up so we don't need to talk about it" I said frustratedly.

"Okay. . ." He said eyebrow raised

"So if you're staying here then where Soledad?" I asked.

"Well we're not really on the same page. . . So we're just taking a small break." He explain

"Okay. . ." I said.

"Maybe we should invite that Stephen kid. I mean dad is encouraging us to befriend the family" he said.

"I don't think we should" I stated.

"Why?" He asked.

"Well he has a game on Friday" I explained.

"We should go." He said

I nodded, one thing you should know about my brother is he is relentless. Regardless of how many reasons I come up With To explain why we should not to spend time with Stephen I'll fail one day and then boom I'll be spending time with Stephen.

I went to the Stone's home to teach Jennifer a few more songs and I also told Stephen my brother and I will be going to the game. I also made a big mistake by telling him we're going to have a movie night.

I was do tired when I got home my brother was arguing with someone in Spanish.

I think he was argue with his fiance. Yeah he's onle 21 but I guess he thinks he's ready, I gave up trying to stop him. He's only been dating this girl for a whole year and her family is forcing them to make this commitment since he took her virginity. My family has a lot of drama.
