Chapter 13

Stephen's P.O.V

~Thurday~

Illiana has been acting quite funny although she tried to act like everything is okay. We haven't really had a moment alone because of the auditions and the lessons she gave my sister.

Finally we had a sub for English plus Shay was absent. I walked around with Illiana in silence for a while.

"What's wrong dude!?" I asked Frustrated.

"Nothing" She responded coldly

"Clearly somethings wrong, you've been distant ever since you saw me with Mia. . .so what's your beef?" I asked.

"Nothing you and Mia are working your shit out and I don't want to get in between that" she shrugged.

"Working shit out? No dude! She was in a bad space and we agreed we'd be friends first. . . So I helped her, and why would you get in between that?" I asked.

Girls are weird.

"Dude. . .listen I just don't want to get attacked again okay? I don't need that shit in my life so if you wanna hang out with Mia that's your choice but I want no part of it" she said.

"Heyy  . . . That's not fair, you're asking me to choose between you and her, but based on recent events I'd choose you about 1000 times. So I'm asking you don't make me choose cause she needs a friend." I said, noticed it seemed like a weight was lifted off her.

"I just. . .you know what okay. I'm sorry I'm being dramatic." She said scratching her head, she looked so cute

"Anyway. . . So. . . Yeah. . . Cool." I said.

"What is it?" She nugged me.

"I wanted to see what you thought about Corey" I asked.

(Illiana thought he meant the audition)

"She amazing and the passion she placed in the character was just mind blowing." Illiana praised Corey.

"Well. . .I know it's a bit too early to start dating but I think I should you know. . . Ask her out on a date" I informed her.

"ooh OOOH. THAT'S GREAT. . .ABSOLUTELY AMAZING." She cheered me on.

"I haven't asked her yet, I'm just considering it" I said.

"Hey! Corey!" Illiana screamed waving at Corey.

Speak about timing. Corey came walking towards us kinda confused.

"Hii--- Illiana, Stephen" she said wondering what was going on.

"Although I shouldn't tell you this. . . You're audition was amazing." She said.

"Well it's you're writing that made the character so relatable" Corey complemented her.

Illiana started frantically searching in her bag.

"Oh shoot, I left my reports in class, I'll be back soon" Illiana said running off.

Reports?

"I agree your audition was really good." I complimented her, she blushed.

"Thank you but I know it will never compare to you're play on Friday!" She said.

"That was a team effort and you were amazing with no support" I said.

"So you saw my audition but you weren't secretly cheering me on?" She said playfully acting hurt.

"Okay. . . Fine maybe I was, it's hard not to root for the best and the most beautiful." I said.
