(A/N I found this prompt online, not gonna take credit for that and I thought it was super cool and I tried to write it but it kinda came out really weird and crappy but it could be entertaining for some of you. Ily all so so incredibly much so please stay safe with the Coronavirus! ❤️)

It's post-apocalypse and the group of six were wondering around, trying to figure out what on earth to do. Archie, Veronica, Reggie, Cheryl, Toni and Betty. Six kids from Riverdale. Feeling like the only ones on earth. Which wasn't the best feeling.

"Hey Betty," Archie said to Betty with a blush as he jogged up next to her. The boy had a huge crush on the blonde but she wasn't interested. Besides, her best friend Veronica had an even bigger crush on the red head and she could never hurt her even if she wanted to.

"Hey Arch," she replied with a sigh as she looked around the crumbling buildings and roads.

They walked in silence for a while before they set camp out near a decent cave by the beach. Betty asked Archie and Veronica to go get wood for the fire while tossing a wink at her blushing friend. She sat down on a log and watched Toni and Cheryl holding hands silently before whispering to each other. She buried her face in her hands. She felt someone sit down next to her. Reggie Mantle. A huge douche to her before the apocalypse but after she saved him from death he caught feelings.

"Hey Betts," he smiled, which would make some girls swoon but not Betty Cooper.

"Hi ." Plain and simple. He got the point and sat on another log and started playing with the laces of his shoes, which by now were completely worn and torn.

Archie and Veronica came back soon with wood and they built a fire. They began talking about their life back in Riverdale. Oh how they missed the comforts of Riverdale. They were about to continue their conversation when they heard talking and footsteps. Their eyes dashed to each other before Betty put a finger to her lips to silence her group and picked up a stick and lit it with fire before stepping in front of her friends.

"Guys, there's a fire coming from over here! What if someone was here? Let's go in," an unfamiliar voice called. It definitely came from a guy. A group of four walked in led by a what looked like a teenage boy with black hair. Betty and the boy made eye contact.

"Who are you guys?," she asked with uncertainty lacing her voice. She signaled her friends to push back.

"Uh- well the apocalypse, we survived from our town and we don't have anywhere to go, same as you guys I'm guessing?" he asked but it came out as more of a statement. Betty nodded her head and brought her stick of fire (A/N okay cool stick of fire 😂) down to her side and threw it in the fire. She nodded her head to the rest of her group and she walked forward to the boy.

"I'm Betty," she said while shaking his hand, "this is Cheryl, Toni, Veronica, Archie and Reggie."

"Hi uh I'm Jughead, this is Sweetpea, Fangs and Kevin," he said while pointing to his smaller group of friends. Betty's group nodded and led them to their campfire.

That first night they talked and laughed and shared stories. Archie also got over Betty quickly when he realized how amazing Veronica was. Reggie also realized that Betty wasn't the one for him and hoped there was someone else, which there was later on. Betty and Jughead stole quick glances at each other every once in a while and blushed every time.

Jughead admired how Betty put everyone else before herself. And Betty admired Jughead's knowledge and care for others. That night as everyone slept, although uncomfortably, their spirits were brightened as they made new friends and everyone wore a smile in their slumber.

Betty stayed up by the flickering fire to keep guard if something were to happen. If something did happen she could never forgive herself. She looked out at the moon as she sat at the mouth of the cave. She felt the ground beneath her sink slightly as someone sat down. She looked over and it was Jughead. She smiled at him and he smiled back. They held hands and leaned against each other and soon enough the first crack of dawn was seen by the horizon. They didn't know at that moment in time if they would come out okay but they had each other.

Of course now, you're wondering what happens to them, am I right? I don't have enough time for that but I can tell you that Betty and Jughead got together and everyone lived out the rest of their days happy and content. Because they had each other.

Life's not an Agatha Christie novel. It's a whole lot messier
