Sophie was stuffing her mouth with mallowmelt.
She caught Keefe staring at her. He was smiling a genuine smile not a smirk. It was a bit different and it made her blush slightly. He was probably pretty popular though, he couldn't really be interested in her. Could he?
"We better go, can you take me home?"
"Sure let's go."
They arrived at her house only to realize that it was only a mile away from his.
"See you later, Foster."
"Bye, Keefe."
She turned around to see Edaline in the doorway smiling.
"Who was that?"
"Someone from school that offered to take me home?"
The look on Edaline's face told Sophie she didn't believe her. After eating and showering Sophie read for an hour before going to bed.
In the morning the last thing she wanted was to go to school but at least it was Friday. As she stepped out her front door she noticed a boy on the porch of the house beside her. Dex.
"Hey, it's you?" He said as he walked off the porch. "Yep." Sophie responded as she met him on the sidewalk. I guess you're kind of my aunt."
"What?"
"Edaline is my aunt and you're her sister in law right?"
"Oh, yeah." They walked in silence on the way to school. They split up to go to class but they agreed to eat lunch together.
Maybe she really could start over.
As Sophie walked into her first class she saw a boy sitting in the front. He had brown hair and impossibly teal eyes. He noticed her and flashed a movie star smile.
That's all for today my alicorns. Sorry it's short but I have a lot of work to do. Well make sure to use a lot of hand sanitizer and stock up on toilet paper.🥼🧤💧🚑
