I'm nervous.

I stand in front of the large building, staring up at a big bright sign. Avaritia, the one and only famous company owned by no other than my mother. Sure, it was originally my aunt Tiffany's but now it's all in the hands of my mother.

If you've never heard about aunt Tiffany's story either on the news or by some gossiping lady. Are you even living on the same planet as I am?

Aunt Tiffany passed away due to a tragic car accident and the company was left in the palm of my mother's hand, which was a pretty stupid idea. Mom had no experience in that area. But my mom didn't fail; she made the company better, surprisingly. Maybe my aunt knew mother could handle it. All she needed was a little push.

And that little push was me and my brother. She wanted our lives to be perfect. So, every time she gave us a glance, she knew why she was doing this. In honour of my aunt of course, but mainly for her children.

I wish I could see the look on my dad's face when he sees my mother's face all over billboards and magazines. He married my mother for her looks and then left her for some other rich bitch.

But the past doesn't matter now.

I went on vacation to Paris for two years. Right after my mom became CEO. I haven't seen my mom or my brother, Leo, for two years. I was feeling homesick  and decided it was time to come home.

As I enter the large building, I see a lot of people dressed in business suits and papers in their hands. It's kind of funny how my mom went from a maid to a CEO of one of the wealthiest fashion company's in the world.

Avaritia was known for its beautiful dresses and shiny expensive jewelry. Many people knew that my mother, Jessica Thompson, had a daughter. But they never knew who she was.

I guess they were about to find out today. . .

I walk over to the receptionist's desk in my 3-inch heels and white dress. "Hello," I say nicely.

The receptionist looks up at me with big brown eyes. She has platinum blonde hair and was, of course, wearing a suit designed by the company. "Hello, how may I help you?" she asks with a smile on her cherry red lips.

I smile back, "I would like to meet with Jessica Thompson," I ask and she looks at me strangely. Probably wondering why such a young girl with no professional background would want to meet with the CEO of Avaritia.

"Um, did you make an appointment?" she questions while typing something onto her computer. "No, but, if you tell her that Jennie is here, she would definitely want to see me."

The receptionist stares at me for a whole minute before responding, "I'm sorry but she's a very busy person. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have calls to make." she smiles and then picks up her phone.

My shoulders slump and I walk back to the waiting room. I wasn't surprised though. If I saw an eighteen-year-old asking for someone who barely had time for the president, I would send her away too.

They might not know who I am, but they sure do know who my brother is. I smirk at the idea and pull out my phone, dialing Leo's number.

I was going to surprise him as well but that won't work anymore considering my situation.

"Hello?" a deep voice from the other end of the phone answers. He obviously didn't check to see who it was before answering.

"Leo, get your ass up. It's me, Jennie. Your little sister. Did you forget about me already?" I chuckle into the phone.
