"You're going to Roman St. Claire!" Avana screams into the phone. "Yeah, what about it?"
It was sometime past midnight and I was on the phone talking to Avana once again. I told her that I wasn't going to be doing online schooling this year.
When I told her I was going to Roman St. Claire, she started freaking out.
"What's so great about Roman St. Claire?" I ask her while I scroll through some Netflix shows.
"It's only the best school out there. The richest of the rich go there. I mean, It kind of makes sense that you'll be going there considering you are very wealthy." Avana goes on and on about the school while I just munch on some Cheetos watching Greys Anatomy.
Why does everyone have to die in this show?
"Are you even listening to anything I'm saying?!" Avana screams into the phone. "Calm down Avana. It's just high school, it can't be that bad," I sigh into the phone.
"Just you wait. A year at that school, you'll be part of the snobby rich kids who think they can get anything they want," Avana mutters from the other end of the line.
"Oh come on, Avana, not everyone is like that." I try to tell her, but I know she'll think of every rich kid the same way.
That's one of Avana's problems. She judges people too quickly.
"My brother says he has a few friends in the school, and he turned out to be fine."
"Yeah, whatever. I've got to go. I have to wake up early tomorrow to shop for school clothes because I glowed up in the summer, and I need to show it off."
I chuckle, "alright, bye."
I close my phone and throw it somewhere on my bed and dig my hand into some flamin' hot Cheetos.
Damn it Greys Anatomy, why do you like to make your audience suffer.
RICH KIDS
The news about my coming back came out today.
"What an ugly picture of me," I say as I slam the newspaper on the table. "What do you mean? It's gorgeous," my mom comments, taking a sip of coffee. "yeah, sis, you look as pretty as ever," Leo says as he comes over and kisses my cheek before running off to the kitchen. I roll my eyes and sit beside my mom on the couch.
"You're coming to the company with me today," mom says as she takes another sip from her coffee. "Awesome..."
I was kind of excited to see the company. I didn't get the chance to since I left a little bit after my mom became CEO. It was in a big mess when I left, but I want to see it now, I want to see what my mom has been doing for the past two years.
The black car picks us up from the house at 12, and we get to the company by 1. My mom likes to live away from her work. It calms her down.
Once we get out of the car, the reporter and cameramen try to get to my mother and me, but security was there to stop them.
According to my mom, not a lot of reporters usually came by the office because there was nothing excited going on. But today, the daughter was revealed, so it made sense why there were so many.
My mom walked into the large building with me by her side, the reporters and camerapeople stuck outside its glass doors trying to get by the security.
"We'll take my private elevator," mom says, walking over to an elevator that is only made for the important people in the office.
I notice that the elevator gets us to my mom's floor faster than the other one.
Mom and I enter the floor, and my eyes widen. It looks so much more different than when I saw it last.
