[Jennie's dress]

When I came home from school, I dashed into Leo's room first.
But he wasn't there.

My brother has dated plenty of girls in the past, but that was when he was younger. Now, he's going to university and is all grown up. There actually might be a chance for love.

I don't know why I'm so excited for my brother to get a proper girlfriend. Maybe because I never really had a sister like a figure and Leo's girlfriend is the closest I get to one.

Athena is a lovely girl as far as I know, and I very much enjoy her company.

The fun part is, they aren't even dating! Not like it's a good thing, but they both have major crushes on each other, which makes everything even better. I get to match them up!

Since Leo wasn't home and there was no one to bother, I headed to my room instead.

When I opened the door to my room, the first thing I spotted was a dress lying on the bed.

What?

I shut the door behind me and walk over to my bed. There was a card on the bed. I picked it up and read it.

Hi honey! I had to go to work early this morning, so I didn't have time to explain, but we have to go to a very big party tonight. This will be the dress you're wearing; I hope you like it!
Love you lots, mom, <3

I smile at the card and put it down. The dress was stunning. It was a long black dress with some colourful sequins spread across the dress.

I decided to give Athena a call and ask her if she was going as well.

Athena is the only other friend except for Avana in my cell. The rest of the contacts in my phone are food places.

"Hello?" She picks up on the first ring.

"Hey, how are you?"

"I'm great, what's up?"

"Do you know anything about a party happening later today?"

"Mhm, they throw it every year. Why?"

"Oh, I was wondering if you were going. What is it exactly?"

"Basically, everyone that goes to our school attends. It's just a party with a bunch of rich families. They talk about business deals and such. It's kind of boring, but the food is to die for."

"Ohh, my mom made it sound like such a big thing. Anyway, thanks for telling me."

"It's no problem. What colour dress are you wearing?"

"I'm wearing black. You?"

"Oh, I'm wearing pink."

"You'll look amazing in pink!"

"Thank you! I— oh sorry, my sisters calling me I have to go. Talk to you later?"

"Yeah, okay bye!"

"Bye!"

The call ended. I put my phone down and stare at the dress. I'm pretty nervous attending the part, considering I'm new to all this stuff. What if someone comes up to me to ask a question? I don't know anything about the business yet. I'll probably just stick with mom or Leo.

Great, now what? 

I look up at the clock, and I still have a couple of hours before I get ready. Maybe I'll surprise mom at the company and learn a couple of things or two?
