During second block the next day I spent most of the period picking Evie's brain. I was asking about Indra. Thankfully he excused himself to go to the bathroom, so I could ask Evie without worrying he'd hear.

I looked around before looking at Evie, "hey," I whispered. "How old do you think Indra is?"

"I don't know." She started. "He never told me. I never asked either; I wanted to be polite and part of me didn't really want to know."

"But he does look on the young side, although sometimes it looks like he's older." She finished. Does that mean Indra died young? Or did he even die? Can someone still be alive to be turned into a vampire?

"Okay then...So you know how he asked to go to the bathroom? If he's like, dead or something how does he still have normal bodily functions?" I questioned. "Because he's warm! And that's odd."

Evie nodded, "I asked him about that! He wouldn't answer me and just brushed me off."

"Same! What is up with that?"

We sighed, "men."

I fucking hate Wednesdays. It seems like they just go on and on and on.

At the end of the day I waited by the door leading into the building.

"Hello Nick." I said. He stopped walking and moved in front of me. He had a large purple bruise on the edge of his jaw.

"What do you want?" He held onto the straps of his backpack tightly.

"You, me, and Indra. We're going somewhere tomorrow after school." I said bluntly.

He made a face at me. "I'm not going anywhere with you."

Nick started to leave.

I dove in front of him, "okay, okay, I know you hate me." He stopped.

"And you're mad that I punched you -- and I am sorry about that -- but right now I'm here to help you."

"Help me?" Nick asked.

"With your...problem. Your drinking, I mean. And the problem with your Dad."

"I don't have a problem. And what goes on with me and my Dad is none of your business."

"Nick, you made it my business when you showed up at our doorstep once again."

He tried to deny it, but stopped. Guess he agreed deep down.

"We really have no reason to hate each other -- other than the drinking -- I hate to admit it, but we're alike in some ways. And because of those "some ways" I believe I can help you." I said.

"Where are we going?" Nick asked. Straight to the point.

"To an AA meeting." I grinned.

Nick frowned, "you wanna lower your voice?"

"Sorry." I squeaked.

Well, I told him. I can leave now.

I pointed to the student parking lot. "Meet me at the parking lot tomorrow."

"Fine."

I left and scurried to the parking lot. Indra sat on the hood of the car waiting for me.

"How did it go?" He asked.

"He agreed to go." I answered.

"You look like you have a problem. What's wrong?" Indra asked. Ever the little detective.

"I realized I'd have to sit in the meeting with him to make sure he doesn't sneak out." I said.

Indra nodded his head. "It'd be good if you did. So he won't be alone and feeling as if he has no support."
