Chapter 5: Dude, Where's My Eggman?

(Thiri's P.O.V)

I was sleeping on the hammock, a chilli dog next to me, when I heard a knock at the door. Sonic and Knuckles went to the door, and I ate my chili dog, the chilli staining my dress, and when Sonic opened the door, we saw Cubot and Orbot at the door! Sonic then said, "What do you two bolt-bags want?" Cubot responded, " Oh my own talk show, long blonde hair, taste buds... " Orbot then said, "But that's not why we're here. We seem to have misplaced Doctor Eggman. Did you and he perchance battle yesterday?" Knuckles responded, "Oh we battled, alright! I remember it like it was yesterday." Sonic responded, "It was yesterday." Knuckles responded, "What was?" I took another bite of my chilli dog, the chilli staining my dress even further.

(No one's P.O.V, Knuckles's fantasy)

Dr. Eggman is seen with his Badniks cackling evily, and he then said, "I've got you now!" Sonic then said, Knuckles looking unamused at him, "Oh, no! I guess we have no other choice but to give up!" Sonic then prepared to run away, but the real Sonic then showed up and said, "Hey, that's not how it-" The real Knuckles then shushed him, and Knucles's fantasy then continued, Sonic running away, but he slams into a tree, and Knuckles then groaned and said, "I'll handle this!" Knuckles then ran towards Eggman, knocking away the Badniks, and he then skidded to a halt in front of Eggman, who whimpered and gently pounded Knuckles's chest, and Knuckles then said, "Now, you've made me mad." Knuckles then kept into the air, his body coated in energy, and he then fired a blast of energy at Eggman, who opened an umbrella to protect himself, but it is burnt by the blast of energy. Eggman then sobbed, and he then ran away. Knuckles then landed on the ground, and Amy, Sticks, and Thiri then ran up to him and hugged him. Amy then said, "What a dreamboat!" Thiri then said, "He's so cool!" Sonic then said, "I wanna be just like you when I grow up!"  Tails then ran up to Knuckles and said, "Knuckles, you've been elected governor!" Knuckles responded, "All in a day's work." Knuckles then smiled, and he then let Amy , Sticks, and Thiri down, and he then flew into the air, and flew through space.

 (Thiri's P.O.V)

Sonic and I looked unamusedly at Knuckles, as he stood proudly, and I took another bite of my chilli dog, and Orbot then said, "That's all very nice, but I believe we were inquiring as to the whereabouts of Dr. Eggman." Sonic responded, "Yeah, after we, as a team, defeated Eggman, he retreated toward the marketplace." Orbot responded, "Many thanks." Cubot and Orbot then hovered away, and Knuckles then said, "Now, it you two will excuse me, I have to write my acceptance speech. What rhymes with governor?" I gave him a annoyed look, and I finished my chilli dog, and I then said, "I'm gonna head to the park and draw." I then went inside and grabbed my journal, and I then walked to the park, and I sat down on the same and I got out a pencil and started drawing, and I hummed as I drew Sonic, my heart racing, and I then sighed, and I then closed my journal and put it in my dress pocket. Rain then started to gently fall, and I then started quietly singing.

Thiri:

It all became so lovely,

Those bluest skies above me,

Those funny feelings I had never felt before I met you

I thought I'd stay a while,

I tried to learn to smile,

So many colors I had never even known...

Maybe I'll find myself sitting on that distant shore...

Maybe I'm not alone...

Then I see the colors fading,

Gentleness of light escaping,

Shadows of my fear invading,

Have I seen this all before?

I know that there's something residing,

A terror deep inside me,

I don't understand how you could be so bold 

Maybe I'll find myself smiling on that distant shore...

Maybe I'm not alone....

(End of song)

I then heard clapping, and I saw a crowd of people clapping and cheering for me! My face turned red, and I ran off, embarrassed by what just happened. I then went into Sonic's shack, and closed the door behind me, and Sonic then said, "What's wrong, Thiri?" I ran to the hammock, and I saw Sonic looking out the window, where there is a crowd of people cheering, and Sonic then closed the curtains, and he then said, "Don't worry. They'll forget about whatever happened in a few hours. By the way, what did happen?" I responded, "Well, they heard me sing, so...yeah." Sonic responded, "Well, was your singing nice?" I responded, "I think it's terrible..." Sonic responded, "Don't worry. In a few hours, they won't remember a thing about what happened!" I smiled at him, and he blushed and smiled at me.
