Chapter 8: Torn Between Worlds

(Thiri's P.O.V)

...

...I opened my eyes.

I was in a pitch black void.

I then said, "Hello? Is anybody here?"

 No answer.

I then saw a bright light, high above me.

I then tried to use my grappling wire to try to reach the light, but nothing happened.

I looked down.

I was...normal?

I then heard the static of a microphone.

I then said, "Who's there?"

 I then heard Tails say, "Thiri? Can you hear me?"

 I then said, "Tails? Where are you?"

 Tails responded, "I'm right beside you."

 I turned around.

Nobody was there.

I then said, "There's nobody beside me."

 Tails responded, "What are you...oh, sorry. You're passed out, so you're probably dreaming. Since you took some MAJOR damage, I took you into my workshop, where I helped fix you up. It'll probably be a while before you wake up, so try to relax."

 I then nodded, and I then sat down and started to meditate.

-16 days later-

I finally woke up.

I was no longer unconscious.

I then sprung to life and without a second thought, bolted for the door.

Everyone was waiting for me.

Sonic then hugged me tightly, and a tear slipped down my face and I cracked a small smile.

I've never been happier.

I finally found...friends.
