Chapter 9: Blue With Envy

(Thiri's P.O.V)

We were all at Meh Burger, me taking out the meat from my burger and stuffing it in my mouth, then chewing and swallowing.

Sonic then said, " I don't care what anyone says. Meh burgers are the best burgers!"

He then took another bite of his burger, and I then stuffed my fries in my mouth.

He then said, "Mmm! It's like Mardi Gras in my mouth! Only no one in my mouth is handing out beads."

Something then sped past us, and I then saw a green shrew wearing a helmet, sunglasses, and some very strange attire.

I then shrugged and continued to eat.

I then heard someone say, "What's he gonna do with that skateboard?"

 Someone else responded, "I think he's gonna... ride it!"

The shrew then rode his skateboard on the table, knocking over Sonic's drink and making it splash in his face.

He then pointed to us and said, "Radical speed!"

He then blew on his left index finger, and everyone but us cheered for him.

Sonic then said, "Oh, for the love of..."

I then said, "What a show-off!"

 Tails then said, "Wow! Those were some sweet moves!"

 The shrew then rode up to Tails and said, "Thanks, bro!"

Tails then said, "You hear that? He called me "bro"!"

 Sonic responded, "Yeah, I heard. He's quite a wordsmith."

 The shrew responded, "It's Swifty. Swifty the Shrew!"

Amy then said, "I don't see what the fuss is about. He's just a shrew in gaudy clothes!"

 She then accidentally tossed her Meh Burger aside.

Swifty then said, "I got it!"

He then caught the burger in midair, and everyone but Sonic and I looked in awe.

He then held up Amy's burger to her, and she then said, "You... *gasps* caught my burger!

Swifty then said, "Radical... speed!"

 He then winked at her, and he then held up the burger to her, and she then took a bite of it, and then gently took it from him.

Amy then said, with her mouth full, "Radical speed!"

 I couldn't take it anymore.

I then said, "Oh, come ON! He's such a poser! You know what?! I'm leaving!"

 I then stormed out, and I noticed a tall tree. 

I then climbed the tree, trying to take my mind off of Mr. "Radical speed".

But, when I tried to grab the very last branch...

It snapped, and I fell!

But, before I hit the ground...

I felt someone catch me.

I then said, "...Sonic?"

 I then heard a voice say, "Nope! Just me lady-dude!"

 I opened my eyes.

It was Swifty.

I then got up and raised my hand, seemingly ready to slap him...

When I extended my hand for a handshake.

I then said, "Thank you, brave warrior. By the sacred Blood Oath of my people, I am forever in your debt."
