. . . . . . . . . . . . .

The following morning, Ain came and picked Tilisia up so they could walk to school together.

While I was happy to see them together again, I still wanted to separate them because of how I knew Tilisia felt about him. Call it a father's desire, but I didn't want to see my world get hurt.

I decided to push the thought out of my mind, so that I could focus on how I was going to resolve my issue with both Amy and Rosie. Of course, I knew there was no better person to help than my best friend, and that's what brought me to a corner table in the café, sitting across from Jake.

"Huh... this is quite the predicament." He said as he scratched his bearded chin.

"Exactly. I'm really not sure how to go about it."

"Personally, I think Tilisia hit the nail on the head with everything." He said with a shrug, "I would actually take it a step further and say that you need to first apologize to Amy for what you said to her before you try and talk out the rest of what happened. Let her know that you took it too far by saying what you did, and then let yourself transition into the next conversation of her needing to get over you and also how you both need to proceed from there."

It was moments like these that I was glad he became a family counselor. He knew the best ways to handle situations and always took our personalities into consideration before making a complete evaluation.

"So, has she talked to you yet?" I asked somewhat nervous.

"Talked? More like yelled." He said with a chuckle, "I can't believe you told her that I told you that. She tried to kill me."

"Sorry about that." I said sheepishly, "It just came out before I could stop myself."

"It's chill, man. You were angry and it's hard to control what you say in those moments." He leaned forward and placed his forearms on the table, "Now about this Rosie thing."

I groaned loudly, "How'd you find out?"

"Are you aware that your daughter calls me to keep me updated when you don't?"

"Of course, she does." I grumbled.

"I think she's a great match for you. I remember when I first met her. Neither of you could take your eyes off each other. Although I was planning on punching you both when you wouldn't stop speaking in Japanese." He glared at nothing when he said that part which made me laugh.

"I've given you many a chance to learn."

"I think I'll stick with Spanish and English." He said with a smirk, knowing that I almost failed every Spanish test I ever took.

We talked for a little longer about things that were going on that we hadn't had time to discuss. We only really saw each other once a week because of our equally busy schedules, so to see him one extra day was a miracle.

It was five o' clock when Tilisia and Ain came in and got to work. For a moment, Tilisia stopped by our table to hug Jake and talk for a bit before Ain called her to see something. It wasn't until Amy came in that Jake decided it was time he left.

He went over and hugged Amy, "I'm heading out now." He said with a wave before leaning to Amy and whispering something to her that made her glare.

"Bye Jake!" Tilisia shouted, earning a nonchalant wave in her direction as he shrugged on his light blue denim jacket.

"Call me if anything happens, Lis." Once she nodded, he exited the shop and began his walk back to his apartment.

Amy and I stared at each other for what felt like an eternity before she awkwardly sat down in the seat that was once occupied by Jake.
