It’s been two weeks since the move. Kimberly and Alex’s friendship continues to grow but she also formed a good friendship with Michael Le at school. Its Friday morning and Kimberly wakes up at her usual time she wakes up for school. She heads for the bathroom to shower. After getting ready she heads downstairs to pack in her breakfast, and as usual Aunt Debra has already left for work. She sees a note attached to her lunch bag and it’s from Debra.

“Kimberly, I was going to tell you last night but I completely forgot. I’ll be out of town for the weekend on business but I will be back Monday morning bright and early. Please look after the house and yourself and call I anything is wrong or if you need anything. If you need money there is an emergency card in the safe in my room and don’t worry there should be enough food in the house to keep you the entire weekend. PS I also asked Andrew to check on you over the weekend just to make sure you’re okay.
Xo Aunt Debra”

Kimberly throws the note away after reading it. A few moments later Andrew shows up to pick her up for school. She heads out locking the door behind her.

Andrew: “Good morning Kimberly and how are we doing this morning.”
Kimberly: “Good morning I’m feeling good, it’s Friday and I can’t wait to just get this day over to relax t home.”
Andrew: “So I’m guessing your aunt has told you that I would be checking up on you over the weekend to make sure you’re okay, and I’m pretty sure she’ll have my head if anything happened to you.”
Kimberly: “Yeah she told me, and I’ll be fine I can look after myself.”
Andrew: “I’m sure you can but just know I am here in case you need anything don’t hesitate okay?”
Kimberly: “Thanks Andrew.”

They arrive at school and Kimberly greets Andrew as she gets out of the car. She meets Michael Le at the gates and they head to first period. Their first class is math and Kimberly loves math. The class is disturbed when Alex comes in late once again.

Alex: “I’m so sorry for being late Ms. Grundy, I overslept.”
Ms. Grundy: “This the third time this week you are late to my class Mr Rodriguez, that’s detention this afternoon till 3pm you can arrange with your driver to collect you at that time.”
Alex: “Yes Ms. Grundy.”
Ms. Grundy: “Take a seat.”

Alex heads to the back of the class to take a seat. As he walks to his seat all the girls greet him as he passes them, he doesn’t take note of any of them but keeps his eyes focused on Kimberly and the fact that she’s sitting next to Michael and not him. Michael looks to the back when Alex takes his seat and they both make eye contact. Michael smirks at Alex as he puts his arm behind Kimberly’s chair. Alex gets angry at Michaels gesture to make him jealous and looks away instead trying hard not to focus on what his trying to do. After a few agonizing minutes the period finally ends. Alex rushes to get out of class and Kimberly notices Alex storm out and runs after him to find out what’s wrong.

Kimberly: “Alex! Alex wait up!”, she creams as she follows him trying to keep up with his pace.
Alex: “Kimberly?” he says in curiosity as he stops and turns around.
Kimberly: “Where are you going in such a rush, are you okay because you seem upset”, she asks him curiously.
Alex: “It’s nothing.”
Kimberly: “Come on I know you better than that”, she says as she takes his hand into hers.
Alex: “Fine its Michael, I don’t like him and his always trying to do things to piss me off and I’m trying really hard to get pissed off.”
Kimberly: “Michael Le? What does he do to you to piss you off?”
Alex: “That’s not important but the thing is I don’t like or trust him and I don’t get why you hang around him.”
Kimberly: “He’s nice to me and we became good friends, I’ll talk to him about it because I’m sure it’s all in your head, he wouldn’t hurt a fly.”
Alex: “Don’t bother Kimberly, believe what you want, I’ll see you in next period.”
