THE LITTLE SISTER

CHAPTER 28

VIOLET P.O.V

Luke was moving out today and to say I wasn’t happy about it was an understatement. I tried not to show it because I knew he had a family that he needed to worry about but he was suppose to be mine and he wasn’t suppose to move out so early. I mostly stayed in my room while everyone else helped them move. I didn’t want to be apart of it.

“He’s just moving down the street.” Daniel had said to me the night before. It changes everything though. What about videos almost every single day? What about Dare Sundays? What about touring? What about everything that was to come with the boys? What about me?

*FOUR YEARS LATER*

I was engaged to Daniel. Beau was married. Luke was married. Jai was engaged. Jai was losing his mind. Jai’s fiance had breast cancer and it wasn’t looking good. They were giving her every single treatment they could and she was finally going into surgery.

To say that our life wasn’t easy was an understatement. Our life was hectic. Luke had his second kid on the way, they were having a little boy this time around and they were naming him Oliver.

The youtube videos had stopped shortly after Luke and Hayden had tried to start having another baby which was two years ago. She was 7 months pregnant with a baby girl before she lost it. To say we nearly lost our minds was not even close. Luke didn’t leave his room for months.

Beau had met a nice girl and I think they got married a little too soon but he loves her and she was head over heels in love with him. Although she hadn’t told anyone else, she’s ten weeks pregnant.

James flew home for a few days as his mom was pretty sick since her cancer had taken a horrible toll on her. Her cancer was nearly gone now but every so often she would feel horrible and would call James.

Ryan was the most beautiful four year old little girl I’ve even seen and she was so smart. She loved everything there was to love about life and she was so bubbly and full of life. She reminded me of all the good in this horrible life. I wanted one of my own. Daniel had brought up having our own a few times now. He always said that we shouldn’t have one yet because I was still young.

Beau was trying to plan a pregnancy that was never going to happen. I mean, how do you possibly plan a pregnancy?

Ryan came running into the room and jumped on Daniel’s lap and looked at me.

“Mommy is having a baby.” Ryan said to me and I laughed.

“I know she is. You’ve been telling me for nearly nine months now.” I answered.

“No Auntie Vi! She’s having a baby now!” She said and I looked over at her.

“What? We have to go!” I shouted.

Oliver Luke Brooks was born on September 17th at 2:02 P.M weighing 6 pounds and 12 ounces and 21 inches long. To say he was the most perfect baby would be an understatement, he was beautiful and Luke was lucky.

If you’re in love, you’re the lucky one, the rest of us are mostly bitter over someone. Love isn’t easy. Although some people like to think it is. They are crazy, I can tell you that. You gotta fight for what you believe in.

I believe that we are who we chose to be. Nobody is going to come and save you. You’ve to save yourself. Nobody is going to give you anything. You’ve got to go out and fight for it. Nobody knows what you want except you, and nobody will be as sorry as you if you don’t get it. So don’t give up on your dreams.

Two years later I was married to Daniel. We are having a little girl and we are naming her Ryder.

Jai’s fiance survived and she is now cancer free. She is now traveling the world with Jai and I get postcards every weekend of where they are and I love them.

Beau has triplets. All girls. Darcy, Diana and Delilah. I can’t tell any of them apart.

Luke is good with his two for right now. I’m sure Hayden will want to have another soon. Although I am still the youngest and I still look to my brother’s for love and support. I don’t really feel like the little sister anymore.
