The next week was a little hectic; the morning after I told Jada what happened with Tori and I, she insisted on taking me to the police department. I called in a favor with an old friend who just so happen to be the chief of police, I didn't want this to be in the news and I knew getting her to take care of this for me it wouldn't be. I was pressing charges on Tori, and with her being one of the most notable female basketball players in Oklahoma and me being one of the top lawyers, this was only going to be a huge circus act. I don't need anything like this affecting my career. I talked to my boss when I got to work and let him know what happened and what the police plan was to catch Tori in the act, that way she couldn't deny what happened, and he was very supportive.

Of course, when they got Tori down to the station she tried to blame everything on the type of relationship we had, and how she thought I was playing around like I normally did because I love her being that rough with me. They had pictures of all the bruises she left on me and that and my statement was all they really needed to lock her up; it didn't hurt that I was a lawyer and had pull in high places, but she was no longer going to be coming around me or getting rough with another woman. I didn't want her to lose her life to the system but I did however want her to learn a lesson.

The day that we went in to talk to the chief Jada asked me to go out of town with her once everything settled down. I didn't really want to go but she talked me into it. She said it was only going to be for the weekend and that it was something I needed to clear my head in order to get back to work and put my all into it. I could really use that time to clear my head, and although two days wasn't a long enough vacation, anytime spent alone with Jada was wonderful.

"So where is she taking you?"

"I don't know, she just told me to wear what she had laid out for me and to be ready by 7:30. I wonder who helped her pick these shoes and this dress out; they are so gorgeous."

"Send me a picture when you are finished getting ready."

"Okay babe. Talk to you later."

"Or not," she cooed before disconnecting the lines.

I finished applying my make-up before walking over to the mirror where I had the dress hanging. I slid the dress on and it was even more beautiful on me than it was on the hanger; it really had me feeling myself right now. It was an off the shoulder, black dress; it had a slit down the side, which showed off my entire leg. It was fitted in all the right places, showing off all my curves; damn I look good! I slid on my black and silver peep toed stiletto pumps.

My phone buzzed alerting me that I someone texted me.

"I'm right around the corner. Please be ready babe we have a schedule to keep." Jada texted.

I grabbed my phone from the charger and my clutch then headed downstairs. I made it downstairs and took one last look at my hair and makeup in the mirror by the door. I sat on the bench and waited for Jada to pull up. I stood up to grab me a glass of wine when I heard someone outside. I figured it was Jada so I decided against the glass of wine. She opened the door with the biggest smile on her face. She walked in and closed the door behind her and pulled a single red rose from behind her and handed it to me. She was dressed in some white slacks, a black button down, a black and white jacket and black loafers with a silver buckle.

"Hey beautiful," Jada said with the biggest grin plastered on her face.

"Hey yourself handsome, why are you cheesing so hard?"

"Because I will have the most beautiful girl on my arm tonight. Are you ready to go?"

"Yes, just give me a second to finish my make-up."
