Chapter 14

I looked at Jada kneeling on one knee with tears now filling her eyes Jada just asked me to marry her. Everything in my soul is telling me to say yes, but there is something in my head tell no. I can hear my best friend, Diamond, yelling at me now, "Bitch what are you waiting on? You better say yes before I do."

"Jada, you mean the world to me and you have shown me what true love looks like; you and your family. I just can't wait to see how much greater that love becomes when I become your wife."

As soon as I said that Jada slid the most beautiful ring on my finger, jumped up and scooped me up in her arms and planted the biggest kiss on my lips. With the both of us crying, everyone around us began clapping and her cousin, Amanda, yell out finally; which caused everyone to burst out laughing. Once we pulled apart everyone rushed around us to congratulate us. I was so proud to show off my new ring.

After her family slowly started to clear out, Jada's mom pulled me to the side for a talk.

"Congratulations baby, I'm so happy for you two." She said with the biggest smile on her face.

"Thank you. I can't believe I said yes." I chimed in gazing down at my ring for the hundredth time already.

"I knew you would. No matter how hard you try to hide it; I have always seen how much you love and care for my daughter. I'm so glad that you will officially become a part of our family."

"I am too. With the way this entire family has accepted me with open arms; I would have it no other way. You and Mr. Smith raised a wonderful woman and I feel so lucky to have her."

"As you should because I'm a great catch." Jada butted in with a huge grin on her face.

"Oh, hush Jada." Mrs. Smith and I said in unison.

"I'm only kidding," she laughed the night isn't quite over for us yet so say your good-byes, grab your things and meet me by the door."

I looked at her a little puzzled, but I agreed anyway. What more could she possibly have planned for us tonight? I mean we did just get engaged so what more could have up her sleeve? Whatever it is I'm ready for it.

As I said my goodbyes to everyone and I could not find Kayla anywhere. I grabbed my jacket and purse and headed towards the door where Jada was now waiting on me.

"Have you seen Kayla, I haven't seen her since we first got here."

"I think she left, something about work."

"Ok well, I'm ready. Where to next?"

"That my love is a surprise." She said kissing me and helping me into my jacket.

Once we were both in the car and settled I grabbed the back of Jada's head and pulled her to me and kissed he like I was never going to see her again. I don't know what came over me, but I felt as if the longer our lips were together the more we fed our souls to one another. I was ready to crawl across the console when Jada pulled away from me. At this point my panties were soaked, my hormones were raging, and it felt as if my heart was about to burst out of my chest.

"Baby I need you right now." I pleaded to Jada.

"I know baby, I need you too, but if you just hold out a little while longer I promise you it will be worth it." She said cranking the car up.

"Fine," I pouted crossing my arms. "You better make it good."

All she said was ok before pulling off. We rode in silence for most of the ride; then we pulled up to this beautiful two-story house. I looked over at Jada confused as to what we were doing here. She never said anything; just turned the car off and came around and opened my door for me. I grabbed my things and walked my way up to the door with Jada.
