Weeks had gone by since I had talked to Brittany. Since that night we had been avoiding each other at all costs. I really can't believe that we slept together. Although it was something that I had been wanting since the day I saw her, it was really awkward for me. I only got off because I kept visioning Jada's face. I even slipped up and called out Jada's name a few times. After the both of us got our rocks off Brittany left without as much as saying goodbye. I couldn't really be mad at her; honestly, I was happy that she left that way I could cry myself to sleep.
I missed Jada so badly, living life without her smile was impossible. I'm not ready to let her go. I don't want to see her with anybody but me. I don't want anybody but her. As much as I love to be around beautiful women and love to get down and dirty I only have eyes for her. I realize that sharing my life story with Jada isn't as bad as I had thought. She hadn't judged me with all the females I fooled around with so I don't think she would judge me about my past especially since the things that happened to me was never my fault. I had to get her to talk to me, but how?
Today I was supposed to be meeting with Jada's mom for dinner. Today was a really light day for me at work so I wouldn't be spending too much time in the office today. I headed down to the office to sign a few things and to get some paperwork together for some of the cases I have to handle tomorrow. When I finished there, I headed down to Jessie's lounge where I was meeting Mrs. Smith. I was there a little early so I sat at the bar and had a glass of white wine and played around on my phone.
"Jasmine." I heard a voice calling out from behind me. I turned around to see Mrs. Smith.
"Hi, how are you." I said standing up and hugging her.
We were led to a booth over by the window and both sat down and place our drink orders.
"I'm so glad you were able to meet up with me today. I don't want to take up too much of your time so I will be quick with this."
"Don't worry I finished all my work for the day and my schedule is pretty much clear."
"Ok, well I really want to give you my condolences about you friend. Jada told me how close you two were and I know that must have been pretty hard for you."
"Thank you. We were more than close, we were like sisters and it hurts a lot but I'm making it."
"That's good to hear baby. I really hate that you and Jada are going through this rough patch right now. She told me that you won't even speak to her and that you put her out of your house the last time you two spoke."
"She said what?" I asked with a puzzled look on my face. The last time I saw Jada she wouldn't even give me the time of day. She was so quick to walk out on before even attempting to hear me out. I can't believe she lied on me, and to her mom of all people. I wanted Jada to stick around and talk to me and even try to patch things up between us but she refused. When I asked her to stay with me she shut me down. I called, texted, and emailed her and hadn't got more than a hello from her. "I never put her out of my house she left on her own."
"Oh, I just really wish you two could get together and talk this out. I see the love in both of your eyes and you guys complement each other so well."
I sipped my glass of wine and watched the waiter bring our food to us. I poked around my food not really having much of an appetite anymore. I sat there for the longest lost in my own train of thoughts. One way or another I was going to get her back or at least we would be friends. They say you don't know what you have until it is gone and whoever spoke those words must have been going through what I'm going through.
