The school was at buzz since no one really understood what was going on. It was difficult to understand the situation if you were standing outside to witness. There were multiple people standing outside for witness since they were fully aware that there was something much more secretive that hid within the school.

"A young, male high school student had fallen off the highest part of the school and is causing great grief and shock to the community. The victim is said to have chosen a dangerous path as it is suspected that it is suicide. More details are going to be disclosed afterwards."

"No one really knew who he was."

"He was just quietly in class always, no one really cared a lot about him."

"He was always studying in the classroom..he never really bothered anyone."

"His only friend was always in a different classroom, so he never really interacted with anyone else."

He pinched the bridge of his nose as his head was hurting from the stress of not properly sleeping throughout the days. There was a knock on the door for his office as he looked up quietly from his desk as he allowed the person to walk in. He specifically requested that when he got promoted for team captain for the investigating unit, that he got his own office since he can't handle the noisiness from his team members.

"Hey Captain Kim. There are new updates regarding to the suicide case."

"Leave it on the desk, please."

"Other than being your subordinate, are you okay? Let me ask you as a friend, Taehyung."

Taehyung looked up to find his best friend peering down at him quietly with a big smile since he was quite worried that the other was not getting much rest. He glanced up to give a gentle snort at his friend and co-worker Jimin, who was his partner for many years in the business. "Nah, I'm really okay."

"Well good. I don't want our team captain fainting on us! We have a new member in the squad just for this case, so you would need to work with her."

"Why is she coming?"

"She works in the psychological department of the Seoul Police Station. She was specifically moved to our case since high school students are involved."

Taehyung dismissed the other as they were both done talking with the case as Jimin suggested that they grab dinner with the other two members in the team. He gave a hopeful smile in which Taehyung tried not to accept since he was really not in the mood. But chicken and beer with the crew sounded like a great plan after he gets off work.

Kim Taehyung is a 29-year old male who worked hard in the investigating unit in the police squad. He worked as just a detective, but he was able to work his way up as he and Jimin both strived to be in high positions. Although Taehyung was able to be fully promoted, Jimin was co-captain so he still held some powers within his reign as well. They were both of the same age and graduated from the same high school, college, and same unit in the military. They were the closest of friends that one can ever be.

And Jimin knew whenever Taehyung was stressed with a situation or case since he would often close himself into his office without much to say. But he never questioned it nor tried to push Taehyung out of his comfort zone since Taehyung would come around at times. He was blunt and cold, but he also had a warm side to him as well that only close people would get to see.

Taehyung's investigation crew consisted of three other people: Park Jimin, Jeon Jungkook, and Min Yoongi. The oldest of the crew would be Yoongi, who was a foul-mouthed lad who was married with already two kids. He would often complain about getting the annoying parts of the job which would be sitting at the desk and writing out reports. But he never said much since he was more comfortable staying inside than going outside.

Jeon Jungkook was the youngest as he was just 24 years old. He was a passionate, hard-working fellow who was working his ass off to get noticed. He just graduated from the Police University, and he was put under Taehyung's crew after Kim Seokjin left after he got promoted into a more higher position than Taehyung.

Thanks to Seokjin's recommendation, Taehyung was promoted to team captain as Jimin was recruited as his co-captain. They both were blessed to be in the same team, and their friendship got stronger than ever.

Throughout the years, they experienced huge cases of scandals and high school incidents, but this was something much more different than they expected. A lot of unclear evidence and blank spots that would be difficult to determine the true reasons why suicide was the answer. Taehyung has been so used to these cases that he doesn't blink an eye when he comes face-to-face with the corpse.

However, he never got to experience the true power that Han Seoul High School had given out. It was one of the most prestigious schools that involved a lot of secrecy within the hallways. And now, Taehyung had to open the Pandora's Box with plethora of surprises that await him. Now he must also go with someone new in his team, which he was definitely not excited for.

"Hello! My name is Jang Gyuri! It is so great to meet you!"

Gyuri beamed with a bright smile as she bowed respectively towards the new crew members as she dropped a few of her notebooks onto the floor. Jungkook ran over to help her pick up her things as Jimin awkwardly smiled back. Yoongi was already falling asleep and just waved at the newbie. As for Taehyung, he was certainly unimpressed with how she was already being clumsy with all of her items that she had within her box of materials.

Jungkook helped her towards her desk which was across from Jimin's as she fixed her own glasses and bangs to look less chaotic. She smiled warmly and a little too excitingly which she turned to Taehyung, "Hello Captain Kim. I heard many great things about you as I work under Kim Namjoon! He said that you guys were in the same department studying together back in college."

"We did, but I believe Namjoon knows my preferences of how I pick my teammates."

Jimin glanced over at Taehyung to notify him that he shouldn't be too rude with his first impression. Gyuri continued to smile as she gently coughed against her arm as she replied back quietly, "I'm not too sure by what you mean but I am confident that I will get the job done."

"You do realize that it's a serious case."

"That's why I am here, for the psychological aspects of it."

Taehyung crossed his arms and rested his back against Jimin's desk as he turned to the rest of the members, "Yoongi hyung, can you start the briefing of the meeting? We will need to go visit the school once more to get a closer look. Jungkook, you can go call the principal once more so that he doesn't start complaining. Jimin, look at the evidences that we got from yesterday and make sure you send it to Seokjin- I mean Chief Inspector Kim."

Taehyung was about to leave the area when Gyuri called out with a curious tone, "What about me?"

He scoffed to himself as he turned around to face the innocently, wide-eyed officer. "You can just organize your desk for right now, Dr. Jang. You will be notified when you are actually needed."

coronavirus means that you guys should stay safe at home and don't go outside eating. i really don't understand people who eat outside right now in this disaster. please, let's keep everyone safe and yourself safe as well.

in the meanwhile, i will be at home since school wants us to stay out. online classes are going to be hell but that means i can make more stories and chapters. this story was in my making but it was with different characters a little different storyline. but after watching "nobody knows" (a korean drama) it really made me want to come back. please enjoy!
