twenty nine

Taehyung and Sihyeon both walked out of the police station as he directed her towards her car. She smiled with a sigh of relief as the case was coming to a slow close as she was getting extremely tired of working overnight to get Eunbin to speak and confess for what she did. Junho and Jinyoung were already trialed as Jaemin was not cooperating as easily as they thought. 

Seungkwan was also trialed for his use of illegal drugs and being a minor. Donghyuck as well. Unlike the others, Chan and Sohee had volunteer hours and mandatory services to participate in as they did not commit actual crimes. 

Sihyeon didn't get into her car yet as she turned her attention towards Taehyung as she asked with a smile, "Want to get dinner? It's been awhile since we did." 

Taehyung rolled his eyes jokingly as he replied back, "Seokjin hyung called me already. You guys are getting engaged?" 

"Damn, he beat me to it." 

Sihyeon crossed her arms as she rested her back against her car as Taehyung replied with a sad smile, "Yeah, he said he felt bad but you guys were dating anyways since your families both wanted you guys to." 

"Yeah, it was arranged but I already knew oppa from the past..it's not like he's completely new." 

"You kind of also seem to forget that you guys also dated back in school." 

"That too." 

Sihyeon nudged Taehyung's shoulder as he stared back quietly at her as the sun was slowly rising as she decided to leave the station at around 6am. They both stopped talking to stare at the sun as the sky started to turn from a yellow-orange into a light blue. The storm days were over, and the sun could finally shine its power onto the wet world. Taehyung then spoke up as they both continued to stare at the sky, "Why did you never go on a date with me? Without the Seokjin thing going on?" 

"Hm...you know you're really annoying at first. You are super cold. You never smile that much around me. It took me a damn while to get used to you. And you always hung out with other guys, which it made me feel more annoyed since you never really took time to get to know me.  It was oppa who brought us together and made you finally become nicer." 

The memories were really bringing them back to the start as he did remember that he was extremely rude and cold to Sihyeon, who greeted him kindly and always tried to make conversation. "I guess I thought you were trying to flirt with me." 

Sihyeon punched him lightly on the shoulder as he rubbed his hand over it since he winced a little since he knew that Sihyeon was stronger than she actually was. She played with the ends of her hair before she changed the topic slowly as she replied with a sigh, "Yes, I know...when I heard that from oppa, I was laughing so hard. But you shouldn't do that to every girl you meet...especially for Officer Jang. I heard that she told her secret to Sohee..which got Sohee to confess." 

"Yeah, I suppose..."

"And you were in the room as well?"

The silence that Taehyung had already answered the question for Sihyeon as she grabbed her car door slowly as she was getting ready to leave. He straightened his posture as he backed away from the car as she said with a warning voice, "Be nice to her. She's not flirting with you, and I think she has more hurt..she's been clumsy I've heard but she's also a hard worker. Go easy on her." 

"Well this is my last case so I guess I might." 

"Are you really leaving the city?" 

Sihyeon asked as she got into the car as she turned on the engine and rolled down her window so that they could finish their conversation. Taehyung nodded with a laugh, "Yeah, I might just move down to my hometown again. Mother wants me to work near home now..and I'm so over this crime life."

"What a change...I can't believe that Kim Taehyung is going to leave Seoul." 

"Well, I know that you're moving to Germany to open your own law firm. I heard from Seokjin hyung that he's planning to move with you when you guys ever planned to get married." 

Sihyeon shook her head as she was always amazed how he knew so much about her despite it being years. She placed her sunglasses on as she started to drive out the lot as she stated with a wave, "Whatever you do, let me know since I can help whenever you need it. See you later, captain." 

The years just flashed before his eyes as Taehyung sadly watched the car leave from the lot. He remembered of when he first saw Sihyeon, and he was shocked when a person that intelligent ended up with Seokjin, who was much more lazier and self-absorbing. Before he could daydream once more, someone yelled his name behind him as he turned around to find the wrecking point of his life as Gyuri came running to him as she bowed by many passing officers who stared as she did. She fell onto her knee but quickly recovered as she apologetically stood in Taehyung. 

He sighed under his breathe as he was wondering on how to break the news to her as he shook his head as he felt stuffy whenever Gyuri would smile her apologetic yet amusing smile that he won't probably ever get used to. 

"Come on, let's get you some first aid." 

"I'm really okay!" 

"Shut up, your knee is all scabbed and your pants ripped." 

He pointed out as Gyuri turned her attention towards her left knee as her knee was scratched up because the pants ripped when she fell. She muttered under her breathe as she was deeming herself as stupid as Taehyung then dragged her into the station as she protested that she was really okay. Jungkook and Jimin were both arriving from work as they were witnessing the entire scene as Jimin whispered teasingly, "I place my bet that Gyuri is going to end up liking him a whole faster than he ends up liking her..maybe."

Jungkook slapped his hyung's arm as he replied confidently in spite of Jimin glaring at him, "Taehyung ain't worth her time because he's too cranky. I think he's going to end up leaving and she'll probably date one of us."

Both of them wince in pain loudly as they ended being smacked on the back of the head as Yoongi walked up to them as he shook his head at the immaturity of the two officers. He replied back as he squinted at the two before walking first towards the station, "You guys are damn blind to love. They're going to end up dating since Taehyung stupidly falls in love more easily than you guys think. But let me tell you something..." 

He stopped in the middle of the parking lot where all the officers jumped and stared as he started screaming, "DON'T YOU GUYS DARE START DATING AND GET MARRIED. GOSH, THE ONE ADVICE THAT I WILL EVER GIVE YOU PEOPLE." 

He then made his way calmly into the station as he was literally making a fuss a few seconds earlier as Jimin watched in horror as Jungkook was shocked as well. "Maybe something happened with the twins?" 

"Maybe it's just Yoongi Hyung going finally insane-"
