Levi x Reader
Warning: NSFW

You groggily walked over to the mess hall for breakfast, last night was fuzzy in your mind but thinking on it many things were coming back to you. While getting ready you remembered the out of character intimacy you shared with Levi, seemed everyone had too much drink and you put it down to the intoxication. You reared the door and poked a head in, everyone seemed to be ready and you were the last one, sighing you walked in to get your food. Honestly you weren't that hungry but you were gasping for water, taking a big chug of water you desperately tried to rehydrate. Sitting down next to Hange who too seemed exhausted, all her movements were slow and she was unusually quiet, probably due to a headache. Looking over the room Levi caught your attention, not even thinking about the kiss you scowled angrily at him because he looked right as rain. "I see Levi didn't drink much" you grumble into your oatmeal, Hange groaned in agreement. Still angry that he was feeling better then you your mind raced to last night, 'does that mean he was sober?' You internally gasp when you realised he was completely alcohol free during his 'decision.' "That bastard" you mumble to yourself getting angry at him using you in your drunk state, though mad the thing that angered you more was that you kind of liked it. Your face grew red thinking back on his lips with yours, it wasn't untrue that you liked the Captain but you'd been friends for so long nothing was going to come of anything. Both you and Levi had been a close friends and that was it, you'd never been emotionally involved in any aspect of his life and he never came for you for advice so your bond wasn't to strong.

While you stared pointedly to the raven haired man Hange watched from the corner of her eye, "you shouldn't stare for to long, he's going to notice" she whispered. "I don't care" you grumbled once again with a heavy brow, Hange smiled sheepishly and sighed. "Alright, I'd be careful. He hasn't been able to take his eyes off you for weeks" she slyly added before leaving, blinking away from your target in awe at her, then you peered to Levi, who seemed to readjust in his seat quickly and shuffle into a cooler manor. Levi wanted to grab a quick peek while you weren't looking. Confused by all the implication you simply finished your breakfast and left as soon as.

Later that day you were fiddling around in your office trying to clean up so you could start fresh with some new paper work. You pulled the blinds, realigned books back on the bookshelf, cleared your desk and swept the floor. Eventually once you were done you sat down and started to sort through stacks on the floor, you did it there so it wouldn't clutter your desk just yet. A knock fluttered over the wood of your door, "come in", Levi soon entered. You stood and turned to see him casually folding is arms. Deep inside you were giddy at his presence, but there was also a low anxiety that he would ask you to forget whatever happen between the two of you last night. Perhaps he'd collected himself since then and realised his mistake, he was here to apologise and leave you in your own shame. "We need to talk" He sternly muttered closing the door behind him, here it was, 'the talk' you so desperately wanted to avoid. "I don't think we do, Captain " you addressed him by his title to show that there was a barrier between you two, truthfully your heart wanted to do the opposite, but the fear of embarrassment still remained. Levi approached your frame but kept his distance, you appreciated that, "I'm sorry for kissing you on the spot." Levi's apology sent shivers up your spine, it was always like this with you in love. They always say they'd love yo have you around, but never actually stay. It stung by how genuine it was.

You waited a moment, this really wasn't like Levi, you knew that. It was then all the fear was your own doing, creating a false version of a man you'd known for years. Just because feelings or circumstances have changed doesn't mean he's not who he was two nights ago. You were willing to cut him some slack, especially since there was a soft spot. With a breath of relief you moved closer to him to show you were fine about intimacy. "It's alright, I know it was bit of fun. Plus we were all drunk so I don't even know if anyone remembers" you smile briefly at Levi who seemed to reserve back to his unreadable face.
