Levi x (Hungover) Reader

'Where am I? oh I'm in bed, I need water my throat is so dry' (y/n) thought to herself after awaking away from the last scene she found herself in, what was that? She believed the last thing she recollected was sitting alone in the mess hall crying and drinking. (y/n) leaned over to the night stand and grabbed the large cup of water, she chugged most of it and sipped the rest and that was when she saw the morning light through the curtains. The young woman sighed sorrowfully to herself, 'I can't believe I let myself go so badly, I never normally cry for others to see' (y/n) huffed once the thumbing in her head increased, she would probably have to sober up before the morning call.

(y/n) laid on her front with her head turned to the left of the room, after she put the drink back on the table she looked around the space. As her eyes wondered she fell upon a small framed man with dark hair laying beside her, immediately she recognised it as Levi Ackerman, 'oh, Captains here?' she bluntly thought through her hazy mind. 'wait! Captains here!' (y/n)'s dread sunk in as her heart beat raced, why was her captain laying beside her in bed? She gasped loudly and when he didn't move she lowered her head to him. The Cadet watched her strict higher up sleeping soundly, he shifted as he felt her breath over his cheeks, with a grunt and furrowed brows he opened his eyes. (y/n) sat up covering herself with the sheet, "oh, you're awake, how do you feel?" he mumbled with a low gruff voice, she blushed at the sound of it and remained quiet. Levi sensed her unease, "don't worry, nothing happened between us..." he sighed sitting up, (y/n) huffed in relief.

The two stayed silent for a moment, "do you need some more water?" Levi asked quietly, the young woman shook her head politely. Levi rattled off a list of things (y/n) could possibly want att he current time but she only denied them, the Captain was concerned as why she didn't want to except his offers, he did feel as though he's stepping a boundary being in such an intimate setting, perhaps that was her issue. He watched as (y/n)'s face dropped and he sensed her heavy heart. (y/n) remembered lazily what had led to this moment, she grew reacquainted to the empty and gripping pain of loneliness which she'd been fighting all week. (y/n) missed her family, she missed her friends and team mates that have past and recently her feelings towards her higher up had changed, and yes that was the superior that was laying in bed with her now. (y/n) had gotten all muddled up in the grieving mixed the nervous butterflies that she just wanted to escape, and now she felt worse then ever. 'what do I have to do to feel human in this place?' was her only thought as she drunk a whole bottle of wine and then some, after that things got hazy.

"Stop thinking, it will make you head worse" Levi whispered through the silence, (y/n) looked up from her lap, she saw his crystal blue eyes though the dim light and instantly she fell in love. Her heart throbbed and warm tears welled up at this all encompassing feeling, "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry..." she whimpered through cries, Levi noticeably tensed up as he own chest clenched at her weeping, he'd never seen her so distraught. With a click of his tongue he brought the fragile woman into his arms, her sorrowful tears grew louder through the muffling of his shirt, Levi hushed her gently. "I'm just so lonely..." she mumbled lightly, Levi laid down with her on his chest, (y/n) gave in and rest on him. He didn't let his grip go and two held each other close, "let it go, you've experienced the emotion now breath it out. Be here with me, I'll keep you company" there was a noticeable calmness and a genuine feeling of concern in his voice, something (y/n) hadn't experienced again and didn't want to forget.

Silenced filled the room once again as the early bird started to sing outside, (y/n) lied with Levi, wrapped in his arms. A snuffle escaped her before the blanket of warm heat lulled her into a deep sleep. The following day it was obvious that (y/n) had a hang over and out of sympathy Levi worked hard to make her day easier, he even let her rest in his office as a disguise. The two felt that something special happened that night but it was a game of when discussion about that would be open.
