Levi x Reader (Blind Date)

This was it for both (y/n) and Levi, they had somehow ended up at the same bar when sneaking out at night. If she was honest, (y/n) was surprised to see Levi with anyone romantically but she could also tell he wasn't comfortable. Perhaps it was his own fault that the female Scout was flirting with everyone but him, (y/n) couldn't imagine him being the best company for such an endeavour as date night. However, even her best efforts couldn't keep her partner from running away with every woman he saw. She'd had this problem before.

(Y/n) sits at the end of the bar room on her stool, she glances over her drink to the other side where Levi was also sitting alone, his companion too busy talking up the bar men. For a short moment their eyes met, after spending the whole time pretending not to see each other and hopefully get back to base without being caught. When their eyes met, Levi instantly looked away, (y/n) sipped her drink and uncomfortably slouched in her seat. An agitated sigh escaped them both. (Y/n) tried to win the attention of her company back by slowly brushing her hand up his arm, Levi intently watched, her lips wonder close to his neck as she looked up to him. "Hey babe, could you get me another drink?" (Y/n) asks with puppy dog eyes, her 'dates' focus never turned to (y/n) and never left the 'busty' waitress, He forges some change out his to left pocket and hands it to (y/n). "Here, get it yourself" he grumbles before returning his smirk to another lady, (y/n) snatched the money and got up out her seat, as she stood closer to the bar tender she thought over her situation. At this point she wanted to slap him and show him that she wasn't to be messed around with, she wanted to hurt him, but would he even care? It's not like he longed for her, (y/n) and him had only been dating for a few days and she was already over it. What good would getting into a disagreement do? this could all be settled with a goodbye.

As she was lost in thought at scenarios playing in her head she didn't noticed the darker haired male come up beside her, he tapped his pint mug on the counter beside her. "one refill and a glass of white wine, please" The male spoke up to the bar tender while handing over his money, (Y/n) turned to Levi, "I'm surprised to see you here, Captain" she smirked playfully. "Don't get any ideas, I don't usually do this" he grumbles looking away from her, (y/n) chuckles and looks over to his 'date', "who's she then?" Levi slides his glance to his partner and sighs. "Hange thought it would be great if I went on a blind date, I'm never agreeing to it again" he groans as the bar tender hands the drinks over, "for you" he says kindly while handing the wine to (y/n). "Oh, Levi, you shouldn't have" (y/n) blushes at the expensive drink in her hand, "better spent on you then her" Levi smiles slightly and clinks the drinks together. Silence feel over the two as they sipped their drinks, "so, what's your story?" The raven haired male questioned, "we're not dating, but he said he wanted to give 'commitment' ago" (y/n) scowls watching from over the bar, "said he liked me, I just think he likes anything that has tits and will give him attention" she sighs at her own disappointment while her 'date' fell over women. Levi laughed at her joke.

It was the first time (y/n) had seen the Captain this reserved, and in honesty she really liked it, perhaps it was the alcohol? But she found a new appeal in Levi. Was it his calm and mysterious exterior? the way he could reserve himself in temper at trivial things such as this? or was it that (y/n) was having the freedom to know him? like she had wanted. The two spoke about all sorts of topic to get them self away from their failed attempts at a 'romantic' evening, every now and then they'd make quick flirts at each other that would slip out with complete casualty. "Levi, I'm heading back now" a voice from behind the two piped up, "Alright" he brushed it off and went back to his drink, "Aren't you going to take me back?" She whined as Levi cringed. (Y/n) watched as a man came behind the girl and held her shoulder, "Don't you worry sir, I'll make sure she'll get back Alright" his grin stretching over his face, "no, it's quite alright" Levi got up before leaving a tip. He turned to the girl and gave her his jacket, (y/n) couldn't help but get a little jealous but she was thankful that even though he was upset he would still take care of the young women. "I'll see you around, (y/n)" he smiled before leaving for the door, she watched them go and soon returned to her last drop of wine.

It wasn't more the fifteen minutes later did (y/n) and her date decided to head home, in fact she had to demand it from him. As they re-entered the Barracks (y/n) walked off to her room without saying good night to the guy, he didn't even try to chase her, she felt cold and mistreated, almost embarrassed for herself. She could feel the tears start to form in her eyes but she wouldn't dare cry over such a bastard, as she rattled her keys to her dorm she saw Levi leaving his companies room after saying good night. "Oh, (y/n) it's good to see you're back alright" Levi husks quietly, "Yeah..." (y/n) mumbled solemnly not looking at him before opening her door. Levi could sense something was wrong and had a urge to put it right, he caught up to her door before she closed it, "don't beat yourself up" he stuttered out to her.

(Y/n) turned to look at him through the door frame, "I won't, I promised myself" she grumbles feeling defeated. "Good" Levi put bluntly, the silence increased once again as (y/n) was deep in thought, she knew Levi was trying to help but there was a sense of awkwardness, he probably wasn't use to 'pick me up' chats. "I knew...I knew he wasn't really committed, and I thought that maybe I could have some fun for a while..." she stutters which catches Levi's attention, "l mean, someone actually finds me pretty, I thought he'd at least want me... but I was wrong, and he was just shallow, and here I am hating myself because of it" (y/n) started to choke up. Levi was speechless for a moment, (y/n) was confiding in him? "What are talking about?" Levi's harsh tone startled (y/n) and she met his eyes, "(y/n) I think you're beautiful, don't waste your time on stupid guys because you think they'll prove something to you, their stupid for a reason" (y/n) chuckled at Levi and smiled softly, "do you really think I'm beautiful?" She asks shyly, Levi blushed but his face remained composed. "Yes" he whispered softly, (y/n) couldn't control herself, she leaned into Levi. There eyes looked into each others as the same thought clicked in their mind, (y/n) closed her eyes and soon their lips met, Levi cupped her cheek before pushing a little into it.

Levi didn't expect that when he took another girl out that evening, he'd be standing in a door way kissing (y/n), but he liked that, she seemed like a wild card. The two parted and it was clear that (y/n) was feeling flustered, when looking at her flushed face Levi felt his heart flutter. "Well...um" he started up as (y/n) softly giggled, "thanks Levi, you're better at talks then you think" she smiled, "well, we hardly spoke" he carefully flirts back. He was granted another laugh from (y/n), "goodnight, (y/n)" he says quietly, the woman nodded shyly, "goodnight, Levi" she grins just before closing her door. The two let out a deep breath to themselves before heading off to bed, it seemed like that night changed the way they saw each other.

Authors Notes: Hey, I wrote the first half when I was feeling insecure, couldn't you tell? Anyways, I though some of you could use some nice fluff to brighten your day, and who doesn't love a bit of simp action from Levi? it's rare.
