It has been two months since we started dating. Tyler and I became even closer these two months. I started to open up a little bit more and is more relaxed. I have become a happier person. Madison and Tyler are still friends and we hang out at school a lot. Hunter finally let it go and he even started to date Madison. As of Dylan and Selena, they are inseparable. They are with each other 24/7. And James, he is the only single person in our group. We have been trying to hook him up with some girls so he didn't have to be the awkward one in our group without a date.
Over the past two months, the seven of us have become really close. We have been hanging out everyday after school doing homework together and even on weekends sometimes. During the weekends, we would choose different destinations and run their each Saturday and then eat lunch together after.
I parked my car next to Hunter's car and got out. Dylan and Selena got out from the back. I walked to my trunk and got out my backpack. Hunter and Madison got out of the car next to us. I smiled and waved at them. "Did Tyler come yet?" I asked. They all looked at each other and shook their heads. I frowned, weird. He left ten minutes before I did, how did I come here faster than him? "I'll text him to see where he is." They nodded.
"Tyler Jason Crawford, where are you?" -Mack
I locked my phone and walked up to them. Hunter had his arm around Madison's shoulders, protecting her. Dylan had his arm around Selena's waist as we were waiting for Tyler arrive.
As we were laughing at Dylan's joke, Julie's car came in the parking lot. She got in and I waved at her. James frowned. "What is she doing here?"
I winked at James. "What do you think?"
He groaned and we giggled at him. "No!" he whined. "Not again! Stop trying to hook me up with someone."
"Hey." Julie said. She looked around and smiled at everyone, but when she saw James she groaned. "No, not again. Why are you guys always trying to put us two together!" she complained. I shrugged casually and we laughed at them.
I even got closer with my cousin too these past two months. She has become more friendly to me. I don't know if it was because I'm friends with the 'popular clique' or because she was actually wanting to become friends with me.
"Let's just start hiking without Tyler, he can catch up with us." Madison said after looking at her phone. Weird, he texted her instead of me?
"But..but what if he get's los.."
Madison cut me off. "Tyler Crawford would definitely not get lost. He has the best sense of direction. We used to hike all the time and each time that we would be lost, he would always find a way out." she reassured me. "Trust me, he's not going to get lost. Besides, there is only one trail. You either go up or you go down that trail. There is no way that he would get lost." I looked at her unsure, but eventually I agreed.
"Fine. Let's start without Tyler then." I said. I looked back once more making sure that Tyler wasn't just driving into the parking lot.
I slung my backpack onto my shoulders and started walking towards the trail. I realized that, today, they were walking really slow and they had suspicious looks on their faces. I cocked my head to one side. "Guys, what is going on?" I asked worriedly. Is something going on? Why did they have such suspicious expressions on their faces. They were acting really odd today. Is there something on my face? Am I wearing my shirt backwards? What is wrong with them?
They just shook their heads. Selena and Dylan looked like they were trying really hard to hide their smiles and Hunter and Madison were giggling at me. What was going on?
