Tyler's POV

Again. She fucking did it again. This has been the third time in the past month. She thinks I don't realize that she's been cheating on me for the past two years that we've been dating. It frustrated me because everytime I try to break up with her, she always drags me to the middle hallway and then she makes a big show to everyone and me about how much she "loves" me. I'm so fucking sick and tired of this relationship. If we weren't close family friends, I would have ended this long time ago. But this time, it's really the end. She has crossed my limits.

The bell rung and I snapped out of my thoughts. I got my stuff from my locker and slung my backpack over my shoulder. I felt an arm slung across my shoulder, it was Matt. He smiled cheerfully at him. "What's up man?" I just nodded at him and felt disgusted. He just screwed my soon to be ex-girlfriend not over ten minutes ago and now he's acting all best bud with me. My phone buzzed, Madison sent me a text: Babe, wanna hang out tonight?;) -xoxo Madison

I glared at my phone screen. She had the nerve to text me after the dirty things she had been doing with my teammate. I inwardly punched myself for ever asking her out to be my girlfriend, thinking that she was the one for me.

I texted back saying: "Meet me after school at my car, I have something to tell you." -Tyler

She instantly texted back. "Aww babe, are you going to ask me out to Homecoming? :) Remember to make it really cute like last year and make sure everybody is there. I want my homecoming proposal to be perfect." -xoxo Madison

I cringe at the thought of our homecoming dance last year. She wouldn't stop annoying me about when I was going to ask her. Whenever we were together, the first thing that she would ask is when I was going to ask her out for homecoming and if I was going to do it, she demanded that I better do it in front of everyone. She wanted everyone to witness our 'love'. At that time I wanted to scream in her face, 'What love?' I have always wondered to myself that if she actually ever loved me because it seems like this whole time that I've been the only trying in this relationship.

I was furious at the thought that Madison didn't seem bothered at all that she just cheated on me, not only that, now she expects me to ask her out to homecoming. Fine, she wanted a 'cute homecoming' proposal in front of everyone, I'll give her one. I'm sure no one wants to miss this one.

The bell indicating the end of school rang and I jumped out of my seat. I quickly exited the classroom while ignoring all the protests from my friends. I planned the speech that I'm going to say to Madison, even though I really wanted to say much worse things to her, I didn't want to make it awkward between us. After all, we are family friends, I just wanted her to know that I'm not a fool, that I knew about all the little affairs that she has had with my teammates. She needs to be clear that she can't just stomp all over me like that.

I threw my Physics book into my locker and slammed my locker shut. I slung my backpack over my shoulders and was about to leave when some of Madison's friends came up to me. "Tyler, do you need help with the homecoming proposal?" She tucked her hair behind her ear and I shook my head. "Madison wanted us to make sure that you made the homecoming proposal perfect. Did you buy the red roses that Madison likes? And did you use glitter on the poster and are the words in bubble letters?" she questioned.

I just nodded. "Don't worry Shelby, the homecoming proposal will be perfect." I smiled at her hoping that she would leave, but she kept talking.

She glared at me, clearly showing that she was jealous. "Well remember to be there at 3:20 sharp, you know how punctual Madison is." I nodded. She glared at me once more and strutted away with Madison's other friend, Dana, but she also gave me a glare before leaving. I chuckled. They were still furious that I rejected them a few months ago. I had a fight with Madison that day and they thought Madison was going to break up with me. Shelby came up to me not even ten minutes after my fight with Madison, but I rejected her. Dana came up to me a few minutes after Shelby thinking that she had some kind of hope with me, but I also rejected her.
