Tyler's POV

My alarm clock went off and I groggily shut it off. I walked to the bathroom with my eyes half-closed, tiredly, I turn on my shower. I usually wake up at noon or even later in the day on Saturdays, but today was different. Today I have a "date" with Mack. We are running together to go see the sunset together and then getting breakfast later. I'm excited and nervous. I want to tell her my real identity today; I felt bad for lying to her this whole time.

I stripped my clothes off and hopped in the shower to freshen up. I walked out of the bathroom with some running attire, I grabbed a sweater on the way out of my closet while texting Mack at the same time. I slung my running bag onto my shoulders and tried to text with one hand as I walked out of my room. My phone buzzed when I was walking down the stairs.

"I'm almost done getting ready you annoying butt." -Mack

I grinned at my phone.

"Okay, okay. I was just making sure because you could have forgotten our little 'date' today with that forgetful brain of yours." -Jason

My dog ran up to me and started pawing at my jeans. "Good morning boy." I whispered not wanting to wake anybody up. I bent down and patted his head. My phone buzzed again and I opened my text.

"Well excuse me for alway forgetting everything! At least I'm not a control freak." -Mack

I cringed as if she was next to me yelling in my ear. I locked my iPhone and put it into my pocket.

These two weeks had been so nice with Mack, I started liking her more and more. She is more than just a friend to me now, but after what I'm going to tell her this weekend, I don't even know if she wants to be friends with me any more.

I went to the kitchen to grab a banana, my dog followed me. I peeled the banana and shoved the whole banana in my mouth when my mom walked in.

"How many times have I told you to eat slower, no one is fighting with you for food." my mom scolded.

"Go...good morning, Mom." I managed to say without choking on my banana.

"Tyler Jason Crawford, finish eating first before you start talking. I have been telling you since you were toddler and you still don't listen." she exclaimed. "I don't want to hear anyone say that my son has no manners." She yawned and leaned against the wall. "What are you doing up so early anyways?"

I finished chewing first so she wouldn't nag me again."I'm going running with my friend and then we are getting breakfast together." I threw my banana peel in the garbage and opened the cabinet to grab some dog food.

She went to the fridge and got orange juice. "It's a surprise that you actually woke up early on a Saturday morning to go running." She poured some orange juice out. "This friend must be very special." she said with a hint of excitement in her voice.

I groaned. "Mom, what are you trying to imply here?" I asked. I took out Luke's food bowl and poured some dog food into it.

She placed the orange juice back into the fridge and shrugged casually. "I'm not trying to imply anything here." she answered innocently.

I looked at her incredulously. "Don't play this game with me mom. What are you trying to say?" I asked her. I knew that she was trying to ask if my friend was girl. She has been trying be more involved in my life after she found out that I broke up with Madison. She believes that I am "depressed", but in reality I wasn't depressed.

She shrugged and sat down on the dinner table. "I'm just curious about what my son is up to all day long, is that illegal?"

I walked over to the fridge to get some water and mumbled, "I wish it was."
