The Beast Within

Chapter 2: The Witch

*Xylo's POV*
As I head south where Rae resided I started to see things. It caught me off gaurd because I have different abilities thanks to my werewolf powers but this ability was different. I was looking around and I started to see different color of auras inside of living creatures. Some were pink, some were orange, and many other colors. I didn't understand what I was seeing so I did my best to look past it, but it's kind of hard when every creature has different colors flowing inside thier chests. I kept walking until it started to get dark, so I decided to set up camp fot tonight. After I ate my carrots I decided and drink the lakes water I decided to pass out in the tent I setup. I got under the blankets and layed my head on my pillow and allowed myself to drift away to a deep sloumber. Till I woke up to the sound of twigs snaping outside my tent. Slowly I got on my feet, with my knees bent a bit as I slowly open the etrance to mmy tent. At first I found nothing, but then something throwed me backwards out of the tent from the otherside. My back slamed against a tree, my vision was blurry, there was this loud ringing in my ears. As my vision cleared I was able to see what exactly attacked me, a demon. He stood above me with this malicious look and his face. He was Red and smokey black, his eyes were silver, He had horns that could kill a man if he tries to impale with them, He had long and black claws, and wings that would make the dragons wings look small. He was looking at me with a smirk on his face, but his eyes showed no emotion.

Xylo: "Who are you!? Why did you attack me!?"
Zorgo: "My name is Zorgo! And the Devil sent me to kill you"
Xylo: "Micheal" I said in a low but aggravated tone
Xylo: "Why does the Devil want me dead"
Zorgo: "My job isn't to give you answers dog. My job is to KILL YOU!!!"

Zorgo charged right at me, as he came for a strike I dodged his claws. His claws end up ripping through the tree I was laying back on. This demon is extremely dangerous I have to be careful if I want to survive this night. I allow my claws to form and I got into my battle stance. We looked at each other, as if we're both waiting for the other to make a move first. Then Zorgo started to charge at me, this time we clashed. we clawed and scratch each other, we punched, we kicked. Somewhere in the battle my body started to give, with the demon standing above me smirking in triumph. He grabbed me my the head and made me look up at him. I could see his face and the color in his chest, while most creatures I would see bright colors but his was just pitch black.

Zorgo: "I'll say this dog you can bite, but it's time I put you down" he said in an joyful tone

I couldn't say anything, the only thing I could do was wait for my end to come. Is this really the end, is this how I go out. It always seems I'm always being pushed down, not only by my enemies but also by the people I care about. I'm never taken seriously, I told everybody about the vampires being innoncent all those years ago but nobody believed me, I found evidence about the existence of dragons but they thought I just found regular bones, I was banished form my home for some time before we made peace with the vampires. All I am to most of the pack is the Omega, and that's all they all will ever see. I don't know what's happening to me but I sarted to smoke a bit. The demon let me go out of confusion to what was happening to me. when I looked at my hands I find my hands are being englufed by this dark purple and black aura. I just looked at this demon with such hate, I couldn't hold back this rage I feel, I did probably the most idiotic thing in my life.....I charged right at him. I put every emotion I felt in my roar when I charged at him and then everything went black. When I woke up I found myself on the floor of the forest trying to remember what happened.... until I looked to see who else was laying on the ground.

As I got closer to the demon that was lying on the ground, I noticed the black aura that I was able to see before in his chest was gone. I checked his pulse and found none. I was scared, not because I killed him but because I couldn't remember how.

Xylo: "This is more serious than I thought.... I need to get to Rae now"

I started to get my things packed and started to head to Rae's home without stop. He didn't care how tired he would feel, then he stopped himeself as he realizes that he doesn't feel tired. He checked his body and found no wounds are to be found. He shook his head to keep himself focus at the task at hand. He ran through the forest non-stop until he had finally reached his destination

Xylo: "Hello is anybo-" he was cut off from what he said

The next thing I knew I was somehow inside at the top of the tower where I could see Rae reading a book

Rae: "I already knew you were here Xylo before you even walked up to my door"
Xylo: "How did you know" I asked in a ammused tone
Rae: "I'm a witch and that's all you need to know" She said as she rolls her eyes
Rae: "Xylo why are you here" she daedpanned

I'm a bit afraid to answer because I'm still wrapping my head around what has happened to my in less than two days. But if I want her help I have to be honest with her, but most importantly with myself.

Xylo: "I need your help"
Rae: "What a suprise" She said sarcastically
Rae: "So come on, tell me, what is it that your 'Alpha' needs that couldn't wait till morning" she said impatiently
Xylo: "No, it isn't Alpha that needs help it's me, I need help with.... with my heritage"

Rae looks at me confusingly

Rae: "what do you mean by 'my heritage' Xylo"

I explained what the acestors told Alpha and the incident in the woods with the demon and me seeing aura in living creatures. When I finished she looked at me with a mixture of shock and amusement.

Rae: "I see, you're part demon and sooner or later you will transfrom into something a bit more hellish"

I just nodded in agreement because I have no idea what I will become once it's all over.

Xylo: "So you see I need your help, to contain or help me control whatever I'll become"

There was silence and then Rae spoke agian.

Rae: "Alright, I'll help you on one condition"
Xylo: "name your price" I said excitingly
Rae: "You have to help around the tower, whether it's collecting herbs for me or fixing my three legged table. Got it"

I nodded my head up and down so fast it felt like my head would fly off.

Rae: "Also one more thing that I want to know"
Xylo: "and what's that"
Rae: "why do you think Micheal wants you dead"
Xylo: I honestly don't know.... but all I know is that he'll probably send more of his servants to kill me"

There was silence for a moment until Rae broke it.

Rae: "You can sleep in the shack that's outside, and there are plenty of animals for you to hunt. do you have any serious questions?"

Xylo: "Yeah just one"

I looked at her intently and then I spoke once again

Xylo: "Can I please try on that hat"
Rae: "NO!"
Xylo: "Awe man!!!!"
