Chapter 7: My Feelings for Rae

*Xylo POV*

I decided to go for a walk to clear my head so I can think straight. I walked through the woods for a little while till I decided to sit down on a log near a river. As soon as I sat down on the log I sighed to myself trying to findout what I should do. I looked at the beautiful forest, seeing the green of the woods and seeing the beaoutiful pink sky as the sun started to set. It reminded me of Rae’s beautiful heterochromia eyes. I shake my head in frustration trying to get the thought out of my head. I know that I have fallen for but how will the Pack feel about this? How Will Rae feel about me? As I sat on the log someone or something spoke up.

TheGreenPhantom: “Having problems friend?”

I whipped my head around to find what seems to be a spirit of some sorts.

Xylo: “Who are you”

DjfoxE: “You mean who are we?”

I whipped my head around agian and found a human fox looking thing.

Xylo: “Ok, who are you guys”

TheGreenPhantom: “Well my name is simply TheGreenPhantom but you can just call me Phantom”

DjfoxE: “and my name is DjfoxE, but just call me Fox”

Xylo: “Not gonna lie those are the strangest names I have ever heard”

TheGreenPhantom: “like your name is any better”

Xylo: “Touche, listen I get that you’re a ghost but what is she” I pointed at Fox

DjfoxE: “I’m a Kitsune, and don’t you know pointing is rude”

Xylo: “..... Sorry”

TheGreenPhantom: “but enough about us if I recall I was asking if you had any problems”

Xylo: “Yes I have a problem”

DjfoxE: “...... you gonna tell or?”

Xylo: “No offense but I jusst met you two”

TheGreenPhantom: “Don’t worry Xylo we can keep a secret, besides who could we tell without scaring them off, I mean just look at us”

I don’t know how I feel about telling random supernatural creatures about how I feel about Rae, but I really do want to get this off my chest.

Xylo: “Alrigh, but you two can’t tell anyone”

They nodded in agreement.

Xylo: “Ok… I might have fallen in love with someone. At first I couldn’t tell what I was feeling towards her, but the more we hanged out the more I wanted to hold her. But I don’t know what I should do now”

It was quiet for a little bit until Fox started to speak.

DjfoxE: “Well It’s obvious what you should do”

Xylo: “Really? What should I do”

DjfoxE: “Tell her the truth. Tell her how you really feel about her”

Xylo: “I don’t know Fox”

TheGreenPhantom: “now come on Xylo I think you should listen to what Fox has to say”

I just nodded to her to continue

DjfoxE: “As I said tell her the truth about how you feel, tell her what you love about her, make her feel safe when she’s around whether it be you protecting her or just being there for her in her time of need”

Xylo: “But what if she doesn’t feel the same about me”

DjfoxE: “Then at least she knows the truth, you can love someone and still be friends even though you want to be more. I can assure you Xylo that she won’t hate you and she won't reject you”

Xylo: “That’s a huge risk”

DjfoxE: “Somethings are worth risking for”

Those last words rang in my head “somethings are worth risking for”. As scared as I was about Rae rejecting and hating me, the possibility of her liking me back would seem like a dream come true. She was right, somethings are worth risking for. I stood up slowly to take in my surroundings. The beautiful sky, the sound of the running river, the rustling sound of the leaves being blown by the wind. I turned around to thank the two friendly creatures but they were gone. At first I was canfused on where they went, but now I know where I must go now and what needs to be said. It’s time that I open my heart to Rae and let her judge if I’m worthy or not. I better hurry back before it gets dark, I just hope she doesn’t reject me.
