Chapter 3: The Changes

*Xylo's POV*
It's been only a day since I moved into the shack outside of Rae's tower. It wasn't the most comftorable thing in the world but It wasn't the worst place I've ever slept in. I had my bed set up and my supply in a chest near the door, within the chest are his weapons and artifacts that I have crafted in the past. I lay on my back against the bed trying to wrap my head around what happened to me these past few days. As I was laying on my bed thinking, I heard a knock on my door. I walked to the door and who do I see, why it's none other than Rae herself.

Rae: "Hello Xylo" she said nonchalantly
Xylo: "Hey Rae" I said questionly
Xylo: "What brings you here"
Rae: "I have have a task for you"

I looked at her questionly

Rae: "Well don't look too suprised, We made a deal remember? I help you with your.... Physical problems and you help me around the tower"
Xylo: "Alright what is it that you need me to do"
Rae: "I need you to find these herbs" she said as she handed me a list of herbs she needs.

As I studied the list I just looked at her and smirked. She looked at me confusingly.

Xylo: " I can easily get you these herbs" I said happily.

She seemed taken back form my response

Rae: "Easily?"
Xylo: "Yup" poping the 'p'
Rae: " Even the Elecampane"

I nodded my head as I hum in confirmation

Xylo: "I can find some of these herbs somewhere in the forest Including your Elecampane"

Rae just looked at me in amusement

Rae: "Well then you better go and get me my herbs then Mr.Hunter"

I looked up and smiled at her for a second before I got up and head out in the forest

*Rae POV*

As Xylo leaves I decided to head back to my tower as I work on other spells and such. If I'm being honest I thought allowing a werewolf living right next to me we cause me a lot of problems, but Xylo shows that he maybe more useful to me as I though. I can't help but wonder, if I had low expectations of him then why did I agreed to help him? Why did I let him stay? It's not like this is the first time someone asked for my help because they were in a bad situation. Whether from injuries or something else. I haven't let anyone in my life for years..... I learned the truth a long time ago that no one ever had and never will care about me, so if the world doesn't care about me then why should I care about the world. As I was going through my thoughts I heard a noise from the other room. At first I thought It was Xylo returning from his task, I haven't realized until now that Xylo's been gone for hours now. So I went to the other room to retrieve the herbs only to be met with a malicious looking man who for some odd reason was carrying a teddy bear.

Rae: "Who are you"
Austin "My name is Austin"
Rae: "What do you want" she said in an aggravated tone"
Austin: "I'm looking for a certain werewolf, he goes by the name Xylo"

There was silence until I broke it

Rae: "I'm sorry who is Xylo" I said
Austin: "Don't play dumb with me witch, I can smell his scent, He was here" He roared
Rae: "What do you want with him" I said sternly
Austin: "Well lets jusy say we all do extreme things once we make a deal with the devil"

At that moment I understood. He's here to kill Xylo, for some reason Micheal wants Xylo dead. Why is that?

Austin: "Now tell me where he is"
Rae: ".......Sorry but no....I don't think I will tell yo-"
