Chapter 14: The Devil's Thorn

*Xylo's POV*

Well I guess this is it either I fight to get my love back or I die trying either way I'm not leaving without her. The mutants surrounded me waiting for the perfect strike. We were all silent until the mutant Austin came charging at me, he used his claws to swipe at me but I ducked and sliced his gut with my silver daggers. Unfortunately I didn't seem to hurt all that much.

Austin: "Huh, sorry to break it to ya but silver won't kill me"

He swiped at me again but this time he made contact with me. I flew across the forest smashing through multiple trees. Once I stopped flying I heard the mutant laughing, that is until I yelled back.

Xylo: "It's not over yet"

He snapped his head towards my direction, as his eyes lay upon me I growled at him with fury. He then transformed into his mutated wolf form and roared. I got my gauntlets ready and we both charged at each other, once I made contact I got exaactly the reaction I wanted to get out of him. This time he bellowed in pain from the Claws of the Pack. Once he stumbled back he looked at the rest of the group.

Austin: "Devin, Ryan, Bri, I'm going to need your help"
Devin: "Alright I'm coming"
Bri: "Right behind you"
Ritchie: "STOP CALLING ME RYAN!!!"

They all started to attack me, I dodged some but got hit by most. Devun flew up and dives down while the two mutated werewolf would attack me wtih there claws. Bri would use her drain life capabilities in hopes of slowing me down. I slowly dropped to my knees as I felt my body was giving out.

Ritchie: "Ain't so tuough now are you. You might've gotten lucky during my first visit but I can assure you, you won't be so lucky this time"
Xylo: "Who? Me lucky? I'm sorry to tell you this you Lycaon wanna be. But I never was lucky, I just look good in a bad situation".

I swiftly punched him in the air and summon the chains of hell to slam him back into the ground. Then I teleported behind Ritchie and plunge my claws into him, grabbing his spine and throw him far off into the distance. After that I teleported behind Bri, placed my hands upon her head and knocked her out with a spell. Then I used some druid magic to create some vines to drag Devin back to the ground and basically choke him out. The two mutant werewolf got back up and growled at me in their wolf form. I need to remove them out of the equation as soon as possible. So I partially transformed allowing some of my bare dark purple skin to grow as I grown a bit larger but still look like myself. We charged at each other, I ducked unders Austin's swing as I punched Ritchie in the snout causing him to fly back as I quickly pulled out my crossbow and shot Austin through the knee causing him to tumble over. I was smiling and couldn't help but make the joke.

Xylo: "I used to be an adventurer like you, and then I took an arrow to the knee"
Austin: "Hey I like that game"
Xylo: "Me too"

And then I hit him in the back of the head knocking him out. You know if he wasn't helping the devil and all we could've been buddies. I turned to face Micheal who does not look happy.

Micheal: "You know what Xylo you're a major thorn in my side" he yelled angerly
Xylo: "Well you know what they say Every rose has its thorns" I sang

I Could see Rae trying to hold in her laughter while Micheal on the other hand was fuming.

Xylo: "I just have one question why? Why do you want me dead, you sent your henchmen to kill me but I never understood why?"
Micheal: "Because of your power!!!" He yelled in fustration
Micheal: "You have enough power that can rival my own and I can't have that".
Xylo: "Why?"

Micheal just laughs dryly.

Micheal: "It's just bad for business, can't have someone who can rival my deals" he smiles coldly
Xylo: "Well then Micheal allow me to make you a new deal, let go of my future wife and I'll let you go or I'll kick your ass so far into Hell not even God will be able to pull you back out"
Micheal: "Sorry but I'll have to turn down your 'deal'"
