Chapter 11: From Omega to Beta

*Xylo's POV*

I woke up to the ray of sunlight hitting my leads, feeling something on top of me. I opened my eyes and smiled to see my Princess sleeping peacefully. I decided to lay there for a while until she wakes up, so I wouldn't wake her up from her beautiful dreams. About an hour later Rae started to stir awake. She opened her eyes only to see me smirking at her. She just smiled back.

Rae: "Enjoying the view" she said with a flirtatious smirk,

Xylo: "Always" I whispered in her ears.

She shivered when I whispered those words into her ears. I loved making her feel like this and as much as I would like to get her to do that again we had to get up for breakfast. Once we got up and got dressed in our normal attire I led her to the counter.

Xylo: "I'm sorry to say, but there's not much variety of food. We only have fruits and vegetables, especially carrots" I said feeling embarassed.

Rae: "It's okay. Do you have any oranges or Bananas?"

Xylo: "Yes, in the matter of fact I do".

We sat at the tables for a little while just talking about our pasts once again. We were laughing and enjoying each other's company. That is until Bryan came crashing through the door, litterally. Me and Rae looked at each other confused as to why Bryan is up when he was recently injured and why he was in a hurry.

Bryan: "Xylo!!, you're back. It's also nice to see you have finally been tamed by a sexy witch" he said with a smirk and winked towards Rae.

I could only sit in silence as I feel my face warm up

Xylo: "Bryan....."

Bryan: "Yeah...."

Xylo: "RUN!"

Bryan went pale and ran like his life depended on it. I got up to chase after him and boy do I love chasing my prey. As I started to chase Bryan, I could hear laughter from where I left and I couldn't help but smile. Bryan saw me smiling and I guessed it scared him more because he started yelling for help, I must've looked like a psycho when I smiled. Bryan was fast, unfortunatelly I was faster. I caught up whith him and tackled him to the ground.

Xylo: "You know what happens now do you" I smiled wickedly

Bryan: "No no no no no! Please don't do it"

Xylo: "You should've thought that before you spoke to my Princess. Now you must pay the price". I said in an evil tone

Bryan gulped in fear as he tried to stop me but it was too late and I put him in a head lock until I did the most evil thing that only a brother could do.

Xylo: "NOOGIE" I yelled evily

Bryan: "NNNNNOOOOO please stop"

I was doing this for a few minutes until I heard Alpha cleared his throat behind us signaling us that he was there

Mario: "As ammusing this is we have to have a meeting around pedestals of our ancestors to disuss about who our new Beta will be.

I let go of Bryan and jumped to my feet

Xylo: "Alright Alpha I'll gather everybody to our meeting"

As I gathered everybody to the Pedestal of our Ancestors we all got inside the circle waiting for Alpha to tell us who the new Beta. Currently he's conttacting the ancestors discussing who will be the new Beta. It looks like it's a huge arguement to who is Beta cause it seems Alpha is getting annoyed from their arguement. Finally Alpha opened his eyes and whoever the ancestors chose as Beta seems to have suprised Alpha.

Mario: "The ancestors have chosen a new Beta" Mario said unsurely.

Relena: "Well who is it?" she asked curiously.

Mario: "Xylo, you have lost your title of Omega"

Xylo: "Wait what? I'm not getting kicked out right"

Mario: "No Xylo, the reason why you lost your title of Omega is becuase you earned a new one, Xylo you are now the Beta."

Pack Haven: "WHAT!!!"

Even I was shocked, why would the ancestors choose me as Beta.

Mario: "Xylo I present you the Left Claw of the Pack" he said as he strapped the claw to my left arm.

Xylo: "But I don't understand why me?"

Mario: SIgh "Because as the ancestors informed me there will be a war coming and they believe you are the only one strong enough to stop it from destroying everyone and everything".

There was silence until Rae came up and looked at the claw.

Rae: "I sense great magic in that claw" she said in awe.

Mario: "The claws of the pack were enchanted by the ancestors during their lifetime and passed it on down for generations being enchanted by every previous Alpha and Beta before us. "

Rae: "That's interesting, these claws could be very powerful weapons"

Mario: "Indeed they can, we don't know how powerful but I know there strong enough to break through magical barriers and and shield agianst magic spells."

After our meeting me and Rae head back to my home to get some rest since it was close to midnight. I was laying in bed trying to sleep but found myself unable to. So I decided to get out of bed and watch the stars through the window of our room. I was alone in my thoughts until I heard Rae speak directly behind me.

Rae: "Hey Puppy why are up this late" She said with concern

I led her in front of me and wrapped my arms around her waist, then placed my forehead on hers. I looked at her as she was wearing a black silky nightgown with her hair straight down.

Xylo: "I'm sorry Rae it's just I can't help but feel like something is coming and I need to be readi when it does."

Rae: "Ok, I guess we can train more in the magic field tommorrow, Beta" she said with a smirk

Xylo: "Don't worry Princess no matter what position I recieve in my pack I will always be your Puppy."
