"Can you stop honking the damn car?", I said into the phone pressed between my ear and shoulder, buttoning up the shirt halfway before rushing down.
Seb was waiting outside my house for five minutes, the whole time honking his car and rushing me up in the call.
I mean, I accept that I overslept and my parents couldn't bother to wake me up for breakfast, but can't he give me five minutes tops.
I was supposed to be going to his home, but my parents thought that it would be a great day to go out on a date. So when I woke up to Seb's call checking up on me, I asked him to come pick me up.
I took my white sneakers before locking the door and rushing out barefoot. I hopped inside the passenger side before closing the door with a loud bang.
"Damn woman, don't break my car in the first instant.", Seb said starting the engine.
"Well, I was planning on breaking the owner, since I don't want to just yet, I can only do this."
I put on my sneakers before running a hand through my clothes making it wrinkle-free.
I was wearing black shirt with a white t-shirt and a pair of faded blue jeans. The shirt was buttoned up halfway and tucked in the front. I had my hair up in a ponytail making sure to not leave any free strands.
"Call Sam and tell him to be ready or else I am leaving him. I don't want to wait yet again."
I poked out my tongue at him before calling Sam.
Ring...Ring...R-
"Where the hell are you both? I have been waiting here for ten minutes.", he said without waiting for me to talk.
"Calm your tits. We are just turning into your street according to Seb. He asks you to be ready."
"Well, I am waiting."
"I can see you.", I said once an impatient Sam came into my view. He was standing in his lawn tapping his foot on the ground still on call.
"Didn't you tell that the lunch was to start five minutes ago?", he asked Seb, getting settled in the backseat.
"Ms. Prissy here couldn't get herself to break her relationship with her bed."
"Oh, beat it. We wouldn't be too late if you could drive instead of talking."
I said crossing my hands across my chest.
"Nice clothes, Walter.", Sam said giving a once over.
"You don't look bad yourself, Pratt.", I said giving a thumbs-up turning to look at him.
"Well, thank you people, I know you both are trying to coax me by appreciating me between yourself. I mean I wasn't angry in the first place.", Seb said smirking at me the same way he did on my first day.
"Well, we never told about you. Now that you mention it, you look okay.", I said shaking my hand in a way that meant 'mediocre'.
"Yeah, you look okayish.", Sam added from the back.
"Fuck you both", he said honking at the car in front of us.
We high-fived each other and laughed our asses off. Seb soon joined in.
Guys aren't that bad. But yeah again, it is not applicable to all, seeing as there are bastards like, what was his name, Liam, around.
We stopped in front of a white building with a long lawn.
Seb dropped us and went to park his car in the garage. He told us he will meet us near the door.
The shrubs were trimmed and shaped into artistic figures.
I had no idea as to how Sam went on without much of a notice to anything.
By the time I reached the door, Seb joined us.
"Your parents aren't lavish at all.", I said as I entered the house.
"Get used it or you will be even more surprised going inside.", Sam said going inside.
"You have been here before?", I asked, but he was out of earshot.
"Yes he has, babydoll. Remember we have been studying together for years?", Seb said guiding me to the kitchen from where the voices were heard.
"Yeah yeah."
I followed Seb inside the kitchen.
"Mom, this is Tanya, Tan mom."
"Hello Mrs. Davis. Glad to meet you.", I said holding out my hand for her to shake.
"Oh nothing of that sort.", she said dusting off her hands on her apron before pulling me by my hand for a hug.
I was shocked for a minute. I wasn't the intimate type so this hug took me by surprise.
I hugged back after a little hesitation.
I let myself to be engulfed in her embrace.
She patted on my back a few times before letting go of me with a dazzling smile on her face.
"Call me Roselyn or better yet mom.", she said getting back cutting he vegetables.
"I guess I will go with Roselyn.", I said smiling back at her.
"Thanks for having me here today."
Yeah, it's me talking. I know that it is very contrasting to how I am at home, but she is good. And I know to respect the ones good to me.
"Oh it is nothing. I should be the one thanking you. When Sebastian told me that you joined the school and that you were full of sass, I told him, 'Bring home your Tan'. By the way, I can call you Tan, right?", she asked taking all the cut vegetables in her hands.
"Sure you can."
"Well then, we have lots to talk about. Why don't we talk it over dinner? It is almost done. You guys go make the table. Sam, stop eating all the carrots already.", she said swatting Sam's stretched hand which was reaching for another piece of carrot.
Sam pouted at Roselyn. I really think as to why he is not a girl. He is clingy and he pouts for every other thing. But yeah, he has his manly side too.
Roselyn grunted before giving him a piece.
"Now leave."
Sam smiled before coming with us to set the table.
