Next day I woke up with Sam nudging me. Liam was not next to me. Maybe I imagined him.
No one was awake yet, at least no one was out of the tents. I went inside our tent and changed my clothes while the boys waited outside.
There wasn't a place for us to take bath except for a cliff, which the teachers were of course against.
I came out to see that most of the boys were roaming around with tooth brushes hanging out of their mouths and a bottle of water in their hands.
I took out my brush and a bottle of water before going away from the tent to freshen up.
A different set of boys were gathering the breakfast items. It wasn't much, just marshmallows and cinnamon rolls.
I munched on my breakfast along with a few other boys while the others were removing the tents.
After breakfast we went around a bit exploring the forest. We had to assemble back in an hour in order to reach the school by lunch.
We were returning back when Seb called out for me. I stopped and waited for him to join me before continuing to walk.
"So, how come you slept off outside yesterday?"
"Well, the climate was good and the stars were tempting.", I said taking my bag from the ground while he took his.
"Or the company was too tempting.", he snickered.
"What do you mean?", I asked him confused while waiting for others to board the bus.
"You know who I am talking about.", he said pushing me towards the bus urging me to climb.
I put my bag on the floor before settling down in my seat.
"I thought I imagined him.", I said looking up at him.
"Oh, so you dream about him too?", he teased plopping down next to me.
"Shut up", I said hitting his arm.
"Ouch. You hit like a girl.", he said rubbing his arm.
"Of course, because I am a girl.", I said shrugging.
"Who said so?"
"Yes? You said something?", I asked turning towards him quirking an eyebrow.
"No, no, nothing. You are a beautiful young lady.", he said wincing.
I smirked at him before looking around the bus.
I had not seen him from morning. Surprisingly, he isn't in this bus too.
"Searching for lover boy? Shall I make space for him?", Seb started from beside me.
"Shut up."
"No I have an assignment for you.", he said turning completely towards me.
"And what would that be?", I asked giving him my attention.
"Make him fall for you."
"Have you gone nuts? I am not doing anything of that sort.", I said looking out of the window.
We had started a long time ago and we were halfway to the school.
"You love him."
"What? Are you crazy? Why would I love him?", I asked incredulously.
"If you don't then take up my assignment.", he challenged.
I remained silent.
"If you don't do it, I will tell him that you love him.", he threatened.
"Why am I not killing you right now?", I asked glaring at him.
"Because you love me.", he countered.
"No I don't.", I retorted.
"What? Sam, she said she doesn't love me.", Seb whined.
"Hahaha, I told you it was me she loved, but you never believed me. Now see you are wounded by her words. It's alright don't worry too much.", he cooed.
"No, I don't love you.", I said turning back to look at him.
"Burn!", some guy shouted before the whole bus roared in laughter while I smirked.
The guys themselves were trying to keep up their whining faces before they too burst out laughing.
......
By the time we made it to the school all the guys in the bus introduced themselves and started chatting with me.
They weren't bad. But yeah, I was no one to judge.
I climbed down the bus after Mr Jones, with the others following me out.
The teachers took a head count before they let us go for lunch. I went straight to my room instead of canteen to scrub myself off clean.
I took a hot shower and changed into a pair of black slacks and a white shirt. I put my hair down letting it dry in the air before heading to the canteen.
As usual, the boys had bought my lunch and had it on the table. I went to our table and plopped opposite to them. They looked up and nodded before looking down, weird. Even more, I felt gazes on me from the moment I entered. I looked around for the other guys to look down while some continued to look my way and a few giving wolf whistles in my direction. I shook my head not understanding why they were doing so.
I opened my lunch only to realize that my mouth was dry. I looked around to see that there was no water bottle. I stood up and took a bottle from the stand before returning to the table.
Just as I was about to sit down, I felt cold liquid greeting my shirt. I looked down to see my white shirt turned brown from the drink spilled on it.
I looked to the culprit glaring at him while he smiled sheepishly.
The culprit was none other than the guy I had been looking for since morning.
"Sorry, I didn't expect for it to end up on you. How about you wear my hoodie while you eat? You can clean the mess after eating, right?", he asked giving his hoodie to me.
"No- I can -", I started only to be cut short by him.
"I insist.", he said pushing it into my hands before leaving.
I looked at him confused before putting it on. Thank god I was tall or else I would have drowned in the hoodie. I rolled the sleeves before opening the bottle and drinking from it.
Once I was sure I had enough water, I closed it before looking towards the boys.
"Why did he do that?", I complained opening my lunch.
"Well he seemed to have done it knowingly.", Sam said.
"Well, of course he did. His life goal is to spite me.", I said munching on the burger.
"Well, no matter, he did help you.", Seb replied.
"Help me? What do you mean?"
"For starters, your hair was making your shirt almost transparent. If you get what I mean.", Seb said waving his hand around. Sam nodded his head with his mouth full, like an obedient boy he wasn't.
I choked on my food before grabbing the water bottle and drinking from it.
"Oh god, I was about to have a wardrobe malfunction.", I said looking at them.
"Wardrobe?" "Malfunction?", the boys questioned.
"Oh never mind.", I waved them off before taking another bite of burger. No wonder the boys were acting weird and the wolf whistles.
"So why didn't you go change instead of getting the hoodie from him?", Sam asked as though he knew the answer already.
"I was hungry, so why not grab it when I have a chance.", I shrugged.
"Yea sure.", the boys muttered not believing my words.
