Rest of the week went by quickly with both of them trying to talk to me but to no avail. I know I was in a way over reacting but I deserve a bit of respect which they definitely overthrew on the night.
If they didn't want to go with me in the first place then why bother telling me that I was their partner? Like really?
The first two days went by with them calling out for me and knocking on my door, but I paid no heed to their callings or shut the door on their faces. But after that they stopped doing anything about it.
I know I was being difficult, but I don't know as to what it will take for me to forgive them.
This whole week was different. I sat in my usual place during lunch but I had no one to talk. The evenings after classes seemed longer with no one to spend it with. There were times when Liam came and talked random stuff but it was just that and I had no intention in taking it any further.
One thing that I benefitted from this week was, I spent more time on my studies. Surprisingly, I had more concentration than any other time letting me not worry about other things.
It was Friday today, meaning we are to go home for our weekend. I packed a few clothes just in case if I might need it before going down to wait for my father.
I came 10 minutes earlier than the time he would come by so that I didn't have face his wrath. I definitely was not in the mood for it.
Fifteen minutes later, a red Volkswagen pulled in front of the school building.
I pulled the strap of my duffel bag once before heading to the car.
I opened the backseat door and threw my bag in before getting inside.
Dad who had switched off the engine and in the process of removing his seatbelt was shocked at my presence.
He looked down at his watch before grunting and starting the engine again. The car came to life and started moving.
No greetings, nothing. A grunt, that's it.
I shook my head at the communication gap everyone seemed to have with me before leaning my head on the window and looking out at the passing scenery.
Once reaching the house I took my bag before getting down the car. As usual, the moment I closed the door, the car drove past me and into the garage.
Yet again, I shook my head how things don't change much, no matter how you behave.
I headed inside and dropped my bag on the floor while dropping myself on the couch.
"Tan? You here?", mom asked coming out of the kitchen with a spatula in her hand and an apron around her body.
"Yes", I grunted while looking around for the remote.
"Go and shower. Come back after that and watch TV.", she said coming and taking the remote just when I was about to reach it.
I grunted and remained in the same place for a moment before slowly lifting myself off the couch.
By the time I was up, she had already gone back to the kitchen.
I went and showered before coming back in fresh clothes and settling on the couch, the way she had told.
I was flipping through channels when dad came and sat on the other end of the couch.
When he saw that I wasn't paying attention to him, he cleared his throat.
"You need anything?", I asked turning towards him.
