"Can you make dinner tomorrow night?" My mum said through the phone.
"Yeah sure," I answered. Austin was throwing grapes at me from across the table. I flipped him off and Rae pushed my hand down.
"Make sure Amelia eats all of her carrots"
"Uh-huh," I agreed. Austin's grapes kept hitting me and I was close to jumping on him.
"Your fathers working late so don't fight with Sean. I mean it Luke" she warned in her stern voice.
"Yes, Mum" I sighed. Haley's blank face twisted into a smile as I said this. I raised my eyebrows in confusion at her, she just reached over picking a grape from my shoulder and ate it.
"Can I have some people over tomorrow?" I asked.
"For what?" She questioned.
"An Art project," I said. Rae looked at me waiting for an answer.
"Of course" she agreed. We said our goodbyes and I hung up before Austin could make a sex noise.
"So can we?" Haley asked.
When I nodded Rae let out a shout. "Yes!"
We won our game on Friday, by two goals, scored by yours truly. One of them in the first ten minutes. I noticed Austin handing Rae money reluctantly in the stands and I grinned.
"Admit it, I'm pretty good," I said jokingly to Haley after the game.
She just rolled her eyes and smiled while muttering something.
Natalie disappeared after the game, no surprise. I saw her later stepping into Nathan Traynor's car.
Austin saw me looking as it happened and pulled me along to keep walking.
"There is a party on Friday at Bryce's house. Do you guys want to go?" Austin asked the lunch table.
I heard the guys talking about it in the locker rooms. Bryce asked me if I was coming and I just shrugged.
I wasn't exactly ecstatic about going to parties.
"I'll go" Natalie chimed saying her first words of the day. Surprise, Natalie never turns down a party.
Haley created a barrier between us as she sat in the middle of the lunch table. Her bruise was smaller, still blue but turning green.
"I will," Haley said and Rae's face lit up.
"Really?" She asked and Haley nodded smiling.
"Our parties probably aren't as wild as New York ones" Austin joked.
Her face fell slightly and something washed over her eyes. Then her smile quickly returned as she caught herself.
The whole table was looking in my direction waiting for my answer.
